Following the fun of the first Gogobot Travel Salon in April, we’re excited to announce the second edition of our travel writers’ event at Monarch on Tuesday, July 10. Four guest panelists will explore the topic of “long term and sabbatical travel,” a popular subject for any of us who’ve wanted to go off on that long and epic adventure we’ve dreamed of. It will be a casual and entertaining night open to travelers of all backgrounds.
The panel of experienced travel writers includes Francis Tapon, an avid long-distance hiker and the first person to do a round trip on the Continental Divide Trail; Kristin Zibell, world explorer and the author of her own inspirational travel site; Tara Russell, founder of the highly successful San Francisco Travel Book Club and Lectures Series; and Alex Leviton, Gogobot’s fearless Editorial Director and a Lonely Planet author since 2002.
Making a return visit are the ever-popular tamales, included with each ticket along with a complimentary drink at the bar. It’ll be a fun and informative night of travel and mingling (Monarch’s $6 beer and tequila shot combo special extends all night!), and we hope to see you there.
You can get started by reserving your ticket for the Travel Salon on Eventbrite!
