My aunt recommended this cute little coffee shop when I first moved to SF, and I always came back here at least once a month. There isn't a lot of seating, although they do have chairs both inside and outside (but it's a rare day when you can sit outside in the Inner Richmond). The crowd is a lot of USF students mixed in with some UCLA grad students and a couple of young families. My favorite drink to get was the hot chocolate - always served in a tall glass mug with TONS of whipped cream, just how I like it! It is cash only, so make sure you come prepared.Recommended for:Budget Travelers

I just had a cappuccino, but was happy to see a full cafe menu with "real food," not just scones and pastries. It's on the sunny side of Clement, so you can sit out front, soak in the rays, and watch the crowd waiting in line at Burma Superstar, across the street. I used to come to Blue Danube years ago when I first moved to the Bay Area. I'm happy to see it's still there, still cool and doing well.

Ever look into one of those books filled with patron-provided writing? Blue Danube has those. Once blank, they are readily available for your thoughts to fill their pages. And, man, diving into the psyches of coffeehouse minds is an experience in and of itself.
Y'all are crazy, serious.
I recently spent the whole day with a friend here, a testament to all that Blue Danube offers. With coffee, smoothies, a diverse food menu, and tasty alcoholic libations, it's not difficult to find your hours slipping away into pleasant conversation.
That said, there aren't many seats here and wireless costs an additional fee. That's pretty much a joke in this town, but then again I suppose it keeps the crowds at bay. Because, really, this is one of the coziest cafes in the city.
I drew a flower eating a moose.
