There's no better place to indulge your sweet tooth (and your need for air-con!) in Siem Reap, although its sleek, cosmopolitan interiors seem incongruous and extravagant compared to the rest of the dusty, low-key town.
That said, there's no denying the pull of the ice cream counter, which tempts with flavours like Four Spice, Banana-galangal and Star Anise. Quite simply, an exotic, spiced-tinged ice cream heaven.
If you have time to chill (and tummy space), consider the french pastries and all-white daybeds upstairs.
When: Oct 2011
Where: No. 563, Mondul 1, just across from the Pub Street
Hours: 6am to 11pm (Pastries 50% off after 8pm)

You can't miss Blue Pumpkin in Siem Reap. It's nothing to with the cultural experience in Cambodia, but it's a really nice treat for the travelers. Make sure to visit the second floor. The places is beautiful and cool, their watermelon juice and ice-cream are amazing. You can order food and drink from the upstairs. The cold-mint towel was the best part of my time in Siem Reap - next to the Angkor Wat of course. :)

This will forever be the dessert place with the sofa beds for patrons. It's fairly bold to have white sofas when you have all these people eating pastries and sweets on your white linens. But I love the experience. Yes, it is pricier than other places around, but it's nice to be pampered. It's like eating in bed with a tray to hold your food.
