Absolutely the place to go if you want to listen to live music in Nashville. Emphasis on singer-songwriters; lots of famous folks just drop in from time to time. It's a legend in Nashville. Audience actually listens to performers, rather than chat with each other. http://bluebirdcafe.com

Bluebird Cafe hosts Nashville's most well known open mic and is a great place to hear soon-to-be-discovered musical talent--Garth Brooks played there before he made it big. It's an intimate venue, so reservations are recommended if you can plan in advance. A must-visit for a true Nashville experience.

Shhh! This is a songwriters' venue. It's for listening to the song, not for you talking over the music. If you listen, you'll be surprised what you'll hear: you may even hear a famous song being sung by the person who wrote it, not the person you heard sing it on the radio.

I didn't like it at the beginning, as soon as I got in, but after a couple of minutes, when 4 artists started their show, alternating songs, playing and in some way dancing from their own seat, I started loving it. I had a really unique experience here. The Public was really involved. I' m looking forward to go back.
