Great nightlife and atmosphere, but lacking on the food and service. I was disappointed by their false advertisement about their Happy Hour. We ordered:
- Carpaccio= small portion of angus beef with capers
- Fondue= brie, blue, gouda cheese and baguette bites was good
- spicy tuna = soggy rice, mushy, and not so fresh tuna (skip this!)
-lychee passion= typical girl drink that is not strong, not to my liking!
Overall, quality of food was okay but not worth the price you pay for. I guess the best time to make your money worth is during HH which I hope they stop changing their time. Also, the service was super slow and disorganized.
Note: First come, first served, there is not reservation. Good luck finding a table for big groups.

Located inside San Pedro Market, Blush is exactly what Downtown San Jose has been needing - a chill spot to lounge and enjoy delicious raw bar bites and creative cocktails.
Super friendly and cool co-owners Russ and Taylor can be spotted here on any given night, making their rounds and giving the bartenders and servers a hand. The aloha spirit is definitely felt here!
Must gets from their menu:
- Salmon tacos
- Hamachi spoons
- Raw oysters
- Rose Roll
- Chocolate molten cake
There's a double happy hour here with $1 oysters and other sweet deals.
Love their specialty drink - the Blushies! There are endless concoctions, but I loved my signature Blush slushie. Be warned - they may be pretty but they're strong!
On warm nights, their outdoor patio is the ideal spot to hang out.

A trendy Japanese place inside of San Pedro Sq Mkt. We got seated right away at a table that's near the borderline between indoor & outdoor which was cool so that you get a feel of both ambiances.
My date ordered the nigiri of something and some sashimi which was really fresh & good, but I'm just not really into either that much. I'm much more about rolls. (According to my date who got to live in Japan for 5months, rolls aren't offered in Japan or is pretty nonexistent.. Rolls are more Americanized) Well, I'm just more Americanized then. I love sushi rolls! That's it.
I really love spiciness so I asked our waitress on her recommendation for a roll that is super spicy. So she suggested Fever so I was definitely down to try that. Fever definitely had a kick to it & it was an fusion of interesting/fresh/a bit sweet? I liked it!
We also got a Caesar salad as well which was good, but it's kinda hard to mess that up so.. My date wanted to get a salad with bleu cheese, but I don't like bleu cheese so that's why we went w/ Caesar salad instead.
Service was pretty fast & friendly. I would definitely hit this place up again if I was in the area.Recommended for:Trendsters

Blush blew me away! The sushi was amazing, I loved the double happy hour they have here. I thought we were doomed when we were driving around late at night for something other than fast food in this area; Blush really took care of us. The drinks were out of this world, I was a little skeptical to order a pink drink but it was crazy good! I will be back for sure!

Blush just opened up in downtown SJ. Ultra lounge featuring fun (and very pretty) drinks, food, dj's spinning the tables, and a wonderful staff!! Great spot to hit up afterwork, or drop by over the weekend. Late night happy hr avail-you must try the $1 oysters.

Man, I've been here way too much in the past week.
And by too much, I mean Ive been too drunk.
And unfortunately that means I've been drinking one of their sugary pink drinks called blush. I lied, I didnt drink one, I drank a lot of blush... enough that I blush.
they have a solid have hour during the day time and one during late night on certain days. I have yet to figure that out. I do like their patio area along with their fire heating lava lamp things. And inside after hours the dining tables get moved back to clear some space for folks to dance..
IF the dj is on fire.
then I'm on fire!
