Really good steak (I had the aged New York Strip), excellent side sauces, and their creamed spinach was delish! I also loved the garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. The atmosphere is a bit stuffy and the prices are ridiculously high, but for a date night or business meeting, this restaurant is one of the best in the area.

BOA's appetizers continue to impress me, while the service here is almost as lackluster as the Santa Monica location. I recently had lunch here with a potential employer. For a starter, I had the seared tuna tartare, which was beautiful and just as tasty as it looked. For my entree, I decided to try the special, which was a Pan-seared Sea Bass over a Calamari Stew. The stew underneath was pretty good, but the fish honestly could have been better. The skin had a nice crispness but the flavor was off. However, I did love that when I asked our waiter for salt, he brought me a lovely salt cellar with both a Sel Gris (gray) and a white fleur de sel- yum. I love salt. For dessert, the table shared the cookie/sorbet plate and the delicious "s'mores"- a glass full of warm chocolate brownie, chocolate ice cream, nuts, and melted marshmallow. Sooo good. As I mentioned earlier, the service was rather inattentive, which is infuriating when it is a rather empty lunch service and you're paying so much for the food/name here. Bah. The location also lacks the pretty ocean views of the Santa Monica version. Give it a shot if you're up there, but stick with the red meat entrees.
