Bob Bob Ricard

1 Upper James Street, Soho, London W1F 9DF, United Kingdom

I am very selective in giving 5 stars but I would give Bob Bob Ricard more if I could! Photos do not do this restaurant justice, it must be seen in person to really appreciate how beautiful it is. It's apparent that like everything else at Bob Bob Ricard a lot of thought has gone into the design of the ...

    Gielgud Theater

0.17 mi from Bob Bob Ricard
    2 reviews

A lovely little theater in the West End, the Gielgud is spacious but feels intimate. Its location, on Shaftesbury Street, is convenient to loads of pubs and Chinatown.

    Rupert Street Bar

0.17 mi from Bob Bob Ricard
    2 reviews

It's one of my favourite haunts and especially in summer this place thrives on the corner of these quiet Soho back streets. Apart from the black cabs that budge you out the way, summer evenings are very socialable generally every evening of the week. It is a bit pricey, but it's prime location for meeting people.

It was sad to see the first outpost in Westbourne Grove disappear, but fantastic that it's been reborn at two central London locations: this one in Soho, the other in Covent Garden. The speciality here are pintxos (pronounced peen-chos, meaning ‘thorn’ or ‘spike’), the Basque country variant of tapas. As you might expect, a great Spanish wine and cav list ...

    Trocadero

0.25 mi from Bob Bob Ricard
    2 reviews

I used to like the Trocadero a lot more when they had a wider selection of arcade games, but since they've closed a lot of the arcade down, it's become a bit less of a fun place and Namco by Waterloo has kind of replaced them for my go-to arcade experience. There's still some games there and the laser quest ...

Every town has a China town, at least many of the worlds biggest and oldest cities. Marked with colorful red and golden archways the air is full of delicious smells and seasonings. London's is fairly small but still packed with affordable pan-Asian cuisine. The lines for the Chinese buffets were out the door at every location. Just an overall festive ...

What a piece of gay London that really remains. This historic bar is laid-back - popular with tourists and younger gays; it's the bar that was a victim of a homophobic nail bomb attack in the 1990's. It's still standing strong; so head here to lift a toast to the victims, and great equality of gay people in the UK.

Exclusive club in Mayfair. You definitely need to be on the list to get inside, but it is really worth the effort. Two dancefloors, music is great and enjoyable (pop/disco music mainly). Given the strict admission policy the club is not extremely crowded even on Sat nights, so you can really have a good time. Drinks are fine and reasonably ...

    Big Ben

0.95 mi from Bob Bob Ricard

Everyone needs a photo of Big Ben! An interesting fact, this tower is not called "Big Ben". It's actually the Elizabeth Tower after Queen Elizabeth II. Big Ben is the name of the BELL inside the tower, who is named after Sir Benjamin Hall, the first commissioner of works. Learned this while on the River Thames cruise :) But you ...

One of the best Museum I've ever seen. I have to say this is where my love for museums started. I've been to other museums before (Smithsonian, in Washington DC) but this is the first time I was captivated by what I was seeing. I'm sure it had something to do with their Egyptian exhibit (Room 4). There you'll find ...

Really cool abbey. You have to pay to get in unless you go to a service though. Fair warning: services are sometimes disguised as things that sound like concerts, but they are not concerts, they are religious services. If this isn't your religion, maaaybe just pay the admission fee.

Changing the Guard at Buckingham Palace

0.78 mi from Bob Bob Ricard

We watched the Buckingham Palace "Changing of the Guard" and it's much more than a handful of soldiers replacing another handful of soldiers. It's full of traditional British pomp and pageantry, with drums and brass instruments a blazing. It is an amazing experience that one will long remember!
