Wonderful park in Florence. Great place for a slow stroll. Check out the many cool statues throughout the gardens

Just a few minutes away from famous and crowded bridge Ponte Vecchio. Wear comfortable showes, use a map to orient yourself inside the gardens and - if you have enough time - go up to the Fortress "Forte Belvedere", follow the arrows and walk down hill through lovely villas and the Bardini Gardens. Fabulous view of Florence and surrounding Hills.

The Boboli Gardens are behind the Pitti Palace on the opposite side of the Arno from The Duomo. They span more than 10 acres of land and features a large collection of sculptures. There is quite a bit of walking (some of it uphill), so do be prepared for that or to just get a taste of it before moving on.Recommended for:Local Culture

What I love most about this formal garden are the controlled vistas and view corridors created by the designers. For me, it's not so much a garden, but an adventure in 3-D green space shaping. Eye-catching highlights include fountains, canopied walkways, and geometric labyrinthine hedges.

Great way to spend the afternoon. Liked it better than the Pitti Palace even. Just don't go in expecting French gardens or you'll be as disappointed as some of the visitors we overheard.

Vast, steepy, different ambiances, wide roads, small forest-like paths, fountains, high trees, vineyards... there is surely something that is going to impress you in the Boboli Gardens, behind the Firenze Palace..

One of my favorite places I visited in Florence. It's a great escape from all the tourist and busy city streets. The garden is huge and has breath taking views of Florence's city and hills. I recommend coming here especially to get away from the busy city and relax for a few hours.
