We aren't supposed to like this place if we're concerned with our health. But what's a little (or a lot) real sugar going to hurt if we indulge once in a blue moon. The buttermilk bars here are gigantic and the best cakey donut to sink your teeth into, provided it can fit through your mouth. The jelly donuts are also a treat. Just writing this makes me want to cash in my blue moon and brave the acid reflux.

I love donuts so I really like Bob's. They have a ridiculous challenge where you buy a big donut and if you can eat it under a certain time you get it for free. I have seen multiple people try it and a few succeed. Looks painful. But I go for the regular donuts. Its open late as well which is very nice.Recommended for:Foodies

Bob's donuts lives up to the hype. For maximum freshness, come between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. All of their donuts are great, but something the other reviewers haven't mentioned yet are the GIANT DONUTS they make for $6. They are about a foot in diameter. My friends bought me a few for my birthday by ordering them in advance, but sometimes you'll get lucky enough to see one at the shop. It's a fun and cheap food item to dig into with friends.

I'm really not that big of a fan of donuts. I think they're way too sweet, way too oily, and way too... cakey. I've hated Krispy Kreme since day one, and I'm always turned off by the fly-infested donut shops in my neighborhood.
Bob's Donuts is the only donut shop that has completely changed my mentality on donuts. The donuts here are so fresh, so aromatic, so tasty, that I forget how much I used to not like them.
I love the apple fritter here, especially when it's piping hot fresh at around 1am every night. It's the highlight of the night for me after drinking. To be honest though, you can give me ANY of the donuts here that are fresh and I'd be happy. That's why whenever I go, I always ask them what's fresh, and whatever they tell me, that's what I order. And I've never been disappointed... EVER.
I'm so glad I don't live on Polk St; otherwise, I'd become morbidly obese from these delicious crack cakes.

There’s nothing like a fresh doughnut late at night! It’s a good idea on paper and that’s why we headed out to Bob’s, however after eating them I’m not too sure about it. Their execution just isn’t that good, I prefer Krispy Kreme. The line can get a bit long here as well for the people thinking the same thing. One of the good things is that it’s cheap, but other than that I don’t really like it.
