    Centro Comercial Avenida Chile

A mall, like all malls it has things to eat as well as shopping. This one is located in centro but closer to chapinero. At noon it fills the large cafeteria floor with people from work. I stumbled upon here one day being hungry. The lines during lunch can get long.

    Botero Museum

Avenida Calle 82, Bogotá, Bogota, Colombia

    18 reviews

The Museo Botero houses most of the artist's work, which he donated himself. If you've never seen it, it's worth checking out his representations of a world inflated...fat people, fruit, horses, Mothers Superior. It all conveys not so much excess as an earthy sensuality and cheeky sense of humor. Botero takes us all down a peg, lovingly. There are also ...

    Museo del Oro

I loved the way this museum connects gold working and metal working to the cosmology and culture of native Colombians. The connections between the symbolism of the natural world and their magical take on life was really special.

Okay, so I a tech geek, I fell in love with this place. The place I was staying in the second time while in Bogotá was right across the street. I took a walk there and feel in love with all the electronics. The only drawback was there was no Apple Products. This is great place for tech geeks to ...

Great for a one time visit. It is definately something different. The town it is in is definately geared towards tourists but also offers a laid aback feel. The tour is option but we decided to not stay with the tour (which is in all Spanish) and take our time taking photos of this amazing picturesque place.

BEWEAR OF PIGEONS. The square is painted white with pigeon... well you get the idea. Locals sell corn for tourist to feed the birds. There are so many birds around. When i was here the was some sort of filming going on, or some government official as people with cameras and large "armored" svus were around. This is a great ...

Lovely place to just walk and wander around and explore, except at night. This area is where all the tourists go to visit. And is very nice and old looking with cobbled and brick streets. There are plenty of bike tours in the area and plenty of hostel in the area as well. At night is where the youth and ...

    Cerros De Monserrate

    Calle 2 # 48, Bogotá, Cundinamarca, Colombia

A beautiful steep mountain where you can view all of Bogotá. You will take a gondola upwards to the top of the mountain. I would suggest eating at the eateries before going up, because the once up top, the cost of food is quite expensive (comparatively). Since this area is higher in altitude you will also come across cold winds, ...

On top of Cerro De Monserrate, the church is the main attraction here. Inside are some interesting views of a nicely built church. Be prepared for a cold windy weather in this area. The architecture here is a cross between old and modern. After exploring the church take a walk around the rest of Cerro de Monserrate.

I am kind of a history nut so this review may be biased BUT I really enjoyed visiting the National Museum of Colombia. It was well organized and easy to get around. I really like the displays and the special programs that they offer. I learned a lot that I never knew about the history of Colombia and South America.

A lovely colorful church in a very small street in Candeleria/Centro area of Bogota. It is a one of the main attractions of Bogota (but only recently been there to see it after 4 years). It is not crowded like the other tourist spots as it on the outskirts of Candeleria, but easy to walk to. The church has wonderful ...

Pretty to see at night. The side of the building lights up with many different colors. This is great for photographers wanting to get a nice shot. The drop back is the beat view is at night and it is closed to go up and see the rest of the city. There are other places to go if all you ...

On of my favorite places in Bogotá, mostly due to the fact that I love beer. But this place is one of the top places to get beer brewed in Colombia with classic flavors.

Beautiful place to visit in the Zona Rosa area of Bogotá both at night and in the day. The area is full of a lot of food places to eat. Especially one of my favorites BBC. There are a lot of cafes in the area and the night life here is beers or food. The parks is nice to just ...

The church here is old and at the time I was visiting it was in the process of being rebuilt. It is located in the Chapinero area of Bogotá right off of Calle 63 Transmilenio station. This is not quite the top of the tourist destinations for tourists, but rather a place where the locals go to just hang out. ...

An intersting "cultural" area of the Bogotá. In this area there are a lot clubs and bars. They are not the fancy and fun ones, but where you will find everyday Colombians. It is odd because just a few blocks away is a whole different story. There are a lot of places to eat around here, if you are looking ...
