    The Beehive

    4
    8 reviews

One does not simply walk to The Beehive. There isn’t public transportation very close by, so unless you live in the area, a cab might be your best bet. But there isn’t a better place to be buzzed on Tremont Street. While the upstairs is small and quaint, a plush stairway takes you to a new world below; a world ...

Alibi Bar & Lounge at Liberty Hotel

    4
    8 reviews

Alibi lounge is a great place to go to hang out with friends or mingle outside your crowd. The lounge is located on the first floor of Liberty Hotel. The hotel used to be a prison in the early 1900s and now it's a trendy hotel that inherited some historic decor: catwalks, prison bars, and brick foundation. Fun fact: Malcolm ...

    Deep Ellum Bar

    4
    3 reviews

Sorry, my cocktail-nerd is showing. I’ll be sure to cover up, but not until I moan a little about the Oaxacan Rose, a piquant blend of Mezcal, citrus, and bitters. The Aperol Fizz is a lighter, fun diversion, but don’t mess around with the Mexican Happy Meal. The space is intimate and romantic, and there’s a lovely outdoor seating area ...

    Mike's Pastry

Way overrated! But their flavor selections are impossible to beat. There's more than just cannolis to be found at this North End institution.

    Neptune Oyster

    5
    21 reviews

Best way to go here is to eat as party of one. You will be seated right away. If you show up as party of two then expect an average of an hour wait. They will call you via phone. Their oysters were good but not impressive enough for me to pay more. Their Lobster was amazing... Pricey... But amazing. ...

    Eastern Standard Kitchen

    4.5
    3 reviews

Eastern Standard Kitchen is a Boston landmark, and rightly so. The space is modeled after an old train station, lending a sweet air of reminiscence in sepia tones and gleaming leather seating. But don’t go for nostalgia, go for the food and drink: Brunch is spectacular, and the extensive cocktail menu could keep a former (or current!) English major reading ...

    Regina Pizzeria

    4
    7 reviews

Probably one of the best pizza's I've ever had! I love pizza's topped with delicious sauce. If you're ever in town then you better have this on your food itinerary list. My friend and I shared the Puttanesca Pizza (Plump artichoke hearts and sliced black olives on top of Regina's famous red sauce pizza and dressed with Pecorino Romano and ...

    SoulFire

    4
    5 reviews

If you love BBQ, just a straight up delicious meal, or a good deal, Soulfire is the place for you. By far the best ribs and fried chicken you can get up here in the north. You can get a huge platter of a meat, two sides, and a moist block of cornbread for just $15. I cannot say enough ...

    Stella

    4.5
    3 reviews

One of my favorite memories of Boston includes a wonderful pear martini, delicious gnocchi and a beautiful setting. It was at Stella, a lovely Italian restaurant in the South End of Boston where I experienced this. While the prices were a bit high ($19 for the gnocchi alone) and the portions didn't impress, I still had a great time overall.

    Cafe Fleuri

Awesome date choice if going fir the chocolate bar. Was $40 per person but not that bad if you don't consider it a regular occurrence. Everything was great and they include non-chocolate items to occupant all the chocolate. Had a live DJ spinning music the afternoon I went. Great idea to impress or surprise someone.

    Top of the Hub

    4
    17 reviews

I've only been to Top of the Hub for drinks, since the food will cost you a pretty penny, but the view alone is worth heading up there for a cocktail or two. It's located at the top of the Prudential and has a 360 view of the entire city. My favorite part of the Hub is the jazz lounge, ...

    Maria's Pastry Shop

    4.5
    4 reviews

I consider this place one of the best kept secrets in Boston. I'd rather get cannolis here than at Mike's or Modern any day. Plus the cookies and other delicacies never fail to delight.

The Trident is a Boston institution. An independent bookstore, its cafe serves salads, breakfast, and various other basic but fresh and delicious food. A great place to browse, buy, and then sit down with your new book for some tea and something.

I liked Sonsie a lot. Great food and excellent service. The downstairs had a lot of charm. I love being able to see the wine cellar!

    Sweet Cheeks Q

    4.5
    7 reviews

Mighty fine Southern BBQ in a space that somehow captures the feel of a giant family picnic. You might not realize you're actually indoors given the smell of smoked meats, the weathered picnic tables, and 4th of July atmosphere. Generous helpings of chicken, brisket, or pork (of the pulled, ribs, or belly variety) are so large that they are served ...

    Clover Food Truck

    4.5
    2 reviews

Lost along the Freedom Trail and we had no idea we were doing it backwards, the munchkin and I got hungered. Well we ran right into the closer truck between some umbrella ice cream stands and I was like lets get rosemary french fries! The munchkin had been begging for some ice cream. So I was happy when her eyes ...

Last day in Boston, my friend gave me a tour around his city and we stumbled upon this coffee shop. I remember seeing this on my yelp so we decided to give it a try. I guess we showed up at the right time because the line wasn't that long and we got our coffee pretty quickly. I had the ...

    Scholars Boston

Scholars after dining hours is a dance hall with pool tables and a reasonable bar. It can be quite crowded with the 20-something crowd, but overall enjoyable place to head out for the night.

    Quincy Market / Faneuil Hall

    4.5
    31 reviews

Quincy Market is a great place for locals and visitors to grab a quick bite to eat. Quincy Market was established as a marketplace for the common man to purchase goods as well as grab fresh food from local resources. The cool part about Quincy Market is that it’s still like that today! My favorite meal to get lost is ...
