    South End

I really enjoyed walking around this neighborhood. The streets, with all those brick buildings, are a big charm, and well worth checking out.

    Copley Square

    6 reviews

There's not much to do in the square itself, besides visiting the Trinity Church. It tends to host protests (I've seen at least two here this year) and other group gatherings as it is quite large. You can easily get to Newbury Street, Prudential or the Copley indoor shopping spots, or the main Boston Public Library without any issue.

A lot of good shops are to find here. Not the cheapest. You can also get some souvenirs.

    The Church of Christ

    8 reviews

Quirky describes the Christian Science Center very well. Not so much the outside, which has a lovely reflecting pool good for strolling pensively alongside, but inside, where you will find the Maparium, a glass globe of the world that you can walk into on a little bridge, and whose acoustics are the nifty sort that when you whisper something to ...

    Swan Boats of Boston

    6 reviews

The swan boats were a staple of growing up. A little cheesy looking back on it, but as a kid, it was so fun. Low-tech for sure! These boats are run purely by pedal power and tour a very small but cute pond in the Public Garden.

I think of this as "that place I walk through on the way to the North End." But it's pretty enough.

    Newbury Comics

    6 reviews

Newbury Comics was a must visit for me after I read about the antics and history of Johnny Cupcakes. Apparently Johnny started out his career here and worked here during the day while selling tshirts and graphics at night. I was surprised that this place still had that old comic store look and feel, despite selling a variety of different ...

    Paul Revere Mall

Although it isn't too much to see, you will likely stumble on this area if you're in the North End. It's cute and peaceful- a nice place for a walk after dinner on Hanover Street.

    Institute of Contemporary Art

    6 reviews

I like the ICA because it's different every time you go. And I just love the some of the weird, oddball stuff that's on display here. I may not always understand the exhibits here, but I can still enjoy them. And I like the way the ICA always seems to feel fresh and exciting; it isn't your typical, stuffy old ...

Boston Tea Party Ship & Museum

    5 reviews

Well this place is as random as random can be. It is located dead center in the middle of a river. On one side is a super fancy steakhouse and on the other is the Boston Children's Museum. It has two ships tied up alongside of it. These two ships have been on several TV shows that I have seen ...

    Boston Opera House

    5 reviews

Extraordinarily beautiful venue to spend a night enjoying the classics - whether it's a performance of Boston Ballet or a Broadway musical. The interior of the opera house is magnificent, the chandeliers' lights casting down on the columns and gilded interior grant the entire place with a hazy glow of glory. Inside the hall, the seating is divided into lower ...

    Jamaica Pond

    4 reviews

Such a lovely location for a walk, jog, or bike. It's not very long, but you can easily do laps! It's also connected to other green spaces in the area by way of the Emerald Necklace of parks (a set of parks and trails that lead into some lovely green areas in Boston).
