    Atlantic Fish Company

    761 Boylston St., Boston
    4
    10 reviews

As with any major city, there will be plethora of good restaurants. This is one of the standouts in Boston. As with any coastal city, there are bound to be great seafood places. Again, this is a standout. What's awesome is that this a more refined establishment yet far from stuffy. You will, however, be treated to amazing food prepared ...

One of Boston's classics, Legal Seafood is good but not amazing, , dependable but not a revelation.

    Modern Pastry Shop Inc

When you are in Boston, stop by this little bakery and pick up my favorite cannoli, I prefer the basic ricotta with powdered sugar -- it is a crispy classic. Bring and home and enjoy with a nice cup of iced coffee on our upstairs deck.

    Marliave

10 Bosworth St, Boston, MA 02108
    4.5
    6 reviews

Marliave is a great little place in downtown Boston (close to Park Street and Downtown Crossing stops) which has dollar oysters every day from 4-6 and 9-10 pm. In addition, they have an inventive cocktail list. Their regular menu looks fine, but honestly I always go for the oysters. The whole place is infused with a Prohibition-y retro feeling.

    The Publick House

1648 Beacon St, Brookline, MA 02445
    4.5
    8 reviews

I'm not a huge beer fan, but the Publick House has so many options for (quality) beer that it's impossible to find something you don't like. The crowd is mostly young professionals with some college students thrown in. While I understand that they take beer quite seriously here, the attitude of the staff is, how shall I say, a tad ...

    Caffe Vittoria

294 Hanover St, Boston, MA 02113
    3.5
    10 reviews

Some friends and I ducked into Caffe Vittoria one afternoon because Mike's Pastry next door was way too much of a madhouse to have a decent conversation. We had the chocolate cannoli and a cappuccino. The cannoli was a normal size (vs. the monster ones at Mike's), but the shell was a little over-fried in my opinion. Definitely a decent ...

    Craigie on Main

853 Main St, Cambridge, MA 02139
    4.5
    6 reviews

One of the best rated restaurants in all of Boston (and for good reasons). The ambiance is high end but sweet and cozy, and the service staff is extremely attentive. Absolutely top notch! The plating of the food is a treat in itself, extraordinarily beautiful and simply elegant. The food is very savory, their Fois Gras appetizer is one of ...

    Bukowski Tavern

50 Dalton St, Boston, MA 02115

Mug #445, and singlehandedly my greatest accomplishment since graduating college. Make sure to try the tater tot poutine. So good that it was a special and when it came off the menu the regulars revolted. It's now a permanent fixture.

    O Ya Restaurant

9 East Street, Boston, MA 02111
    5
    6 reviews

This is a very innovative sushi restaurant. We tried the chef’s menu which offered 14 items both raw and cooked, with twists like searing and foam added to the usual techniques for sushi and luxury non-traditional ingredients like truffles. They also have a fairly extensive menu of not commonly seen Japanese beers. Service was very attentive. Very expensive but an ...

    Abe & Louie's

793 Boylston St, Boston, MA 02116

In short, the steaks here are top class but the service can be a less stellar experience.

    The Barking Crab Boston

88 Sleeper St, Boston, MA 02210
    4
    8 reviews

Legal Seafoods is ok, if you want high-brow, expensive dining. But if you're looking for great seafood AND a good time, go to Barking Crab. It's right on the waterfront and you open your crab with mallets between two paper plates. Good food, good beer, good atmosphere.

    Picco

    513 Tremont Street
    4.5
    6 reviews

I went to Picco with my roommate from Rome, and the pizza satisfied our forlorn souls, living too long without a Roman pizzeria. It's not Italian like in Italy, but the American touches they add actually improve the dishes with their invention.

    Sunset Grill & Tap

130 Brighton Ave, Allston, MA 02134

The food here is nothing special - solid diner fare. The really impressive part is the ridiculously extensive beer list - I think they have something like 118 beers on tap.

    Russell House Tavern

14 Jfk St, Cambridge, MA 02138
    3.5
    9 reviews

One of the highlights of my drinks and appetizers here the other night was the bone marrow. It's certainly a gasto-pub. Good food, good drinks and usually a good time. I was quite pleased with the few plates I tried. I also enjoyed the variety and creativity of the menu. There's something for those foodie thrill-seekers and something for those ...

    The Beehive

    541 Tremont Street, Boston, MA

Good spot to catch a quick bite and maybe some live music. Food isn't inspired but is satisfactory and goes down far more deliciously when there's a live band to entertain you.

    L.A. Burdick Chocolate

52-D Brattle Street, Cambridge, MA 02138, United States

If you're an aficionado of fine chocolates, look no further. Catering to the Harvard Square crowd, L.A. Burdick offers delicately hand-crafted chocolates in the shapes of mice, penguins, as well as a few other members of the animal kingdom. They're adorable, but they ain't cheap. Still, the line is out the door around Valentine's Day. If you push a little ...

Probably one of the best pizza's I've ever had! I love pizza's topped with delicious sauce. If you're ever in town then you better have this on your food itinerary list. My friend and I shared the Puttanesca Pizza (Plump artichoke hearts and sliced black olives on top of Regina's famous red sauce pizza and dressed with Pecorino Romano and ...
