    Cafe Fleuri

Awesome date choice if going fir the chocolate bar. Was $40 per person but not that bad if you don't consider it a regular occurrence. Everything was great and they include non-chocolate items to occupant all the chocolate. Had a live DJ spinning music the afternoon I went. Great idea to impress or surprise someone.

Like most, I came here for the view but was surprised by the quality of the food and interesting cocktails. Perfect for a romantic night out.

J P Licks Homemade Ice Cream

This is the best Ice Cream in Boston. Rich and creamy with fun flavors like mint oreo and even grape-nut. There are only 4 or 5 outposts and only in Boston, and the decor in each is wonderfully silly, with windy pink and black mosaics and cow motifs. The Newbury Street location has a giant teacup in the corner. Full ...

    Trident Booksellers & Cafe

    4.5
    12 reviews

The Trident is a Boston institution. An independent bookstore, its cafe serves salads, breakfast, and various other basic but fresh and delicious food. A great place to browse, buy, and then sit down with your new book for some tea and something.

    Mike's Pastry

The best Italian party, followed closely by Modern across the street. There is always a huge line out the door, but the cannoli are worth waiting.

    Quincy Market / Faneuil Hall

    4.5
    31 reviews

This is a great block to walk around and explore. Quincy Market has some amazing food booths (I highly recommend Boston Chowda for lobster rolls and clam chowder). Faneuil Hall is a beautiful historic building where you can hear all about the history from a local.

    Neptune Oyster

    21 reviews

This is such an amazing seafood restaurant that it's not a mystery why the wait can get up to 3 hours. The restaurant is small and has maybe 5 tables besides seating at the bar. You can drop in and put your name on the waiting list. They will let you know approximately how long the wait will be and ...

    Union Oyster House

My quest to search for the best Clam Chowder might be over. (As soon as I said that, someone is going to disagree. There's always a better place somewhere else, isn't it?) Friend of mine recommended this place and I was glad to have tried it while I was in Boston. The clam chowder was phenomenal. It was creamy and ...

    Island Creek Oyster Bar

Great atmosphere, great service, great food, and in a great location. Check this out, even if just for a quick Oyster stop, on your stroll through Kenmore towards Fenway!

    Finale Desserterie & Bakery

The desserts are good, but my visit didn't quite live up to all the hype.

    Modern Pastry

Modern is a poorly kept secret. The desserts are just about as good as Mikes, but usually without as long a line. The lobster tails here are outstanding, and the coffee and gelato are surprisingly good as well.

Adorable bakery with delicious sandwiches and a very cute atmosphere! They also offer gluten and dairy free options that actually taste good. Prices are reasonable and the selection is extensive!

    Giacomo's Restaurant

    4.5
    11 reviews

Small place but arguably one of the most popular at North End. There is almost always a wait outside the tiny door, the interior is crowded but customers get to be up and close with the kitchen staff and see how the chefs operate. The waiters yells out your order to the kitchen, quite a sight and experience. The food ...

    Atlantic Fish Company

    4.5
    12 reviews

As with any major city, there will be plethora of good restaurants. This is one of the standouts in Boston. As with any coastal city, there are bound to be great seafood places. Again, this is a standout. What's awesome is that this a more refined establishment yet far from stuffy. You will, however, be treated to amazing food prepared ...

    Toscanini's

    4.5
    10 reviews

Unusual flavors are featured in this happening ice cream shop, along with a few of your classic staples. I went with goat cheese brownie, but not after sampling a few others. I was pretty taken with the burnt caramel as well. I could easily find myself making Toscanini's a frequent stop during the summer until I explore their entire menu. ...

    Mr. Bartley's Burger Cottage

    4.5
    10 reviews

The best burger in Boston. Ignore the cheesy joke names (the Afghan-attack this and you'll never leave!?!?) and concentrate on the juicy meaty food. I love that you can also order a raspberry lime rickey or an egg cream to wash it all down.

    Border Cafe

    3.5
    13 reviews

Cheap, cheesy (literally) Mexican and margaritas. The waiter was super efficient and matter of fact - when someone at my table mentioned that they didn't taste the tequila in their margarita, he grunted in a thick Boston accent, "That's why they're cheap." A good-natured, rowdy way to get a buzz and some food in Harvard Square.
