This underground spot has a warm, cozy feel that is perfect for a date. There’s no menu; the mixologists here will concoct a custom creation. Like spicy drinks with tequila? Something fruity and frothy? How about long walks on the beach? Be as specific or vague as you want, or leave your fate to the skilled whims of your personal ...

    Improv Asylum

    4 reviews

Come here for a fun time and constant laughter throughout the 2 hour entertainment. The Improv Asylum casts are extremely talented, they do a mix of sketches and improv comedy from materials gathered from the audience. Great entertainment choice for an after dinner activity at North End.

    Paradise Rock Club

    5 reviews

The Paradise Rock Club is a classic, grungy live performance venue in Allston. A very impressive list of big names have played at the paradise, and it's usually a stop for a lot of lesser-known, up-and-coming groups as well. If you plan ahead, prices can start as low as $10, making it cheap and easy for all you hipsters out ...

This is a very fun place with great, although pricey, drinks and incredibly talented musicians. It does get crowded on weekends but I have never seen it too bad.

    North End

    35 reviews

The North End is where you'll find great Italian restaurants and cute cafes serving delicious espresso and desserts. Some of my favorite go-to spots are Ducali (great pizzas), Al Dente (I love their pumpkin ravioli in the fall), and Beneventos (wonderful classic Italian dishes). Of course, don't miss Mike's Pastry for cannolis, either!

    Newbury Street

    49 reviews

Really, the fifth avenue of Boston. All along the street, is filled with high end shops, even some of the rare European and Japanese brands that cannot be easily found in the rest of US, excellent spot for browsing the latest fashion. Secondary to the fashion scene, there are also plenty of classy food choices here.

I've been a fan of Miss Destiny's since I was 17 years old, sneaking into clubs in Boston. These days, Beantown's most glamorous drag superstar can be found holding court and owning the stage at Machine on Imperio nights. And Machine is no slouch itself, either! Check your baggage at the door, grab a cocktail, and hit the floor.

    House of Blues - Boston

    6 reviews

Great venue for a show! There are several levels, but all provide a good view of the stage. Some awesome groups come through this venue, and there are plenty of places to eat before or after the show.

    Charles Playhouse

Blue man group was great!!! A few hours of constant entertainment, flashing lights, heart pumping rhythm, stunning comedy/acrobatic acts, technology mixed with art, all with no spoken words, a totally new kind of performance art, the audience interaction makes the experience quite more fun.

    Shalin Liu Performance Center

    6 reviews

It doesn't matter who is performing at the Shalin Liu Center--buy tickets regardless. Arrive early to have a glass of sparkling wine on the top floor overlooking the water. And then the water view gets even better when you move back downstairs for the performance. A gorgeous evening listening to music as the sun sets behind the musicians.

    The Bleacher Bar

I'll be honest here. I get bored at baseball games. Whenever I go to live games I realize halfway through that I've been watching the jumbo-tron the whole time when the real-live players are right there in front of me. But here's the thing: I love the excitement and atmosphere at sox games, and I'm a sucker for the history ...

Improv shows here typically cost between $10-15, which is a pretty good deal when you think about how expensive it is to see the more famous, already established comics that come to Boston on tour. The shows can obviously be pretty hit or miss, but that's just how it goes with live, unscripted performances. It's a great option for a ...

My favorite park!!!! Best to go when you have some time to relax on a nice day. Heard it was one of the oldest park in the US. Gorgeous trees and lots of tulips. Squirrels are everywhere and we saw a swan sitting on her nest. Make sure to stop by the thinking cup coffee shop (stumpton coffee) before hand. ...
