The Boston Pops are amazing, and Keith Lockhart is a genius. Symphony Hall is such an impressive building, both acoustically and visually.

Listening to a world class orchestra performing in one of the most celebrated music halls in the world is an experience second to none.
I attended the Pixar in Concert on 06/05/2013 performed by the Boston Pops. This is my first time at the Symphony Hall and it is simply stunning. The interior is gilded gold with classical sculptures lining the walls, classically elegant and lavishly beautiful. The conductor and the Boston Pops took us through an enchanting journey of creativity with representative musical styles from all 13 Pixar films. The musical journey is accompanied by scenes from each of the films. The visual and auditory elements, along with the association from the memory lane with the films created an astonishingly emotional effect. The conductor also took the time to communicate with his audiences about the nature of the music and the intention of the composers for the piece. For the two hours, I was awed, entranced, and immersed in the world of Pixar; assaulted by waves of emotions.
I really appreciated the fact that the hall for the Boston Pops concerts are converted into tables where groups of friends and family can share the experience while sipping on drinks or enjoying a meal. Turning a formal experience into something resembling a casual family night at home is perfect for the message the Pops are trying to convey through their popular concerts.
Amazing performance, amazing atmosphere, amazing setting.

As you can probably tell, this is one heck of a place. It is stunning from the inside and beautifully reserved from the outside. Just the architecture and design alone warrants a 5-star review but it's what goes on inside that really takes the cake.
The interior is gorgeously decorated and the balcony has rich, deep, velvety cloth and tassels hanging from the ceiling. The sound was extraordinarily good most likely as this place was made to be a symphony hall thus the sound works on stage is perfectly suited for a symphony concert.
The Boston Symphony Orchestra put on a brilliant show of classical music (unfortunately, I did not know or was familiar with the artists that were being played) which was both moving and powerful. I love how music can extrude many different emotions even in the same set. I really enjoyed the concert here, the coat check is easy to use and the bathrooms are nice as well.
If you have a chance to catch a concert here, I would definitely not pass it up!

Symphony Hall is an architectural masterpiece! Acoustically, this is the finest concert hall in the United States. Orchestras from all over the world come here to record. When visiting Boston, try to to see the Boston Pops or the Boston Symphony Orchestra here. You will be blown away! During the Pops performances you get your own little table where you can order wine or food to enjoy while watching the show. A great night out!
