Boulder is a universe unto itself. Set in a valley to the northwest of Denver at the base of the Rocky Mountains, the town is medium sized, clean and beautiful. The Flatirons look down on Boulder from the southwest. The University of Colorado is located in Boulder and gives the town a youthful feel. In addition companies like Google have offices in Boulder. The town is known for its liberal attitude and its true that there are many MMJ dispensaries in and around town. The Pearl Steet Mall and surrounding area, however, hums with activity every night and has many fine dining restaurants as well as bars and nightclubs.

Charming college town northeast of Denver. Very relaxed vibe, very environmentally aware. A plethora of bike paths and hiking trails. A wide climate range. Drivers, be aware of the army of red-light cameras!

Boulder is my home town and I couldn't be happier to return home every time I do. A trip to Boulder can be a fascinating mix of everything from outdoor adventures and craft breweries to university lecture series'. While it has arguably lost some of its charming "hippie" culture of earlier days, it is still a socially conscious town with a lot of vibrancy and energy.

Boulder is a wonderful place to live and attend university. The music scene and night life are wonderful. Boulder Theater and Fox Theater always have great bands and Shine and the Laughing Goat have exciting nightly music as well. Noted for having 360 days of sunshine and nestled at the foot of the Rocky Mountains, Boulder is the perfect place to go for a hike in around the Flatirons or up Mount Sanitas. Other fun activities include rock climbing, mountain biking, and trail running. In the spring time, the Saturday Farmer's market is a great place to listen to live music with friends and family and to taste delicious local food products and produce.

Boulder is a college town that's close to lots of outdoors activity areas. I had a pretty good time there using as a base for visiting the hikes nearby.

My fav town in the world, this college epicenter is a cross between the street culture of San Fran and hippie/green world of Seattle/Portland, with a little Midwest kindness thrown in for good measure. Seriously, blue skies and clean air puts everyone in a better mood.

Boulder is a lifestyle city. Small and set into the mountains, you're just a short drive away from any number of outdoor sports and activities. The air is fresh, there's something like 300 days of sunshine a year and the restaurants are excellent.

    Highly recommended.

A fun granola town right near Denver. I went here on business during the cold month of February, but still had a great time. Enjoy all of the great restaurants that the city has to offer. Just make sure to bring a coat in the cold months.

It's a very funny palce, full of young people and bikes. People here have a healthy life. Shops and restaurants are nice. The pedestrian area of Boulder is similar in some ways to Lincoln Road in Miami. A very enjoyable place.

Boulder is a American college town, buzzing with students. No doubt it's a hipster village. Still, surprisingly Boulder is home to millionaires whose vibe isn't to show it off in flashy jewelry and the latest trends. But, instead they humbly strut their Patagonia gear and R.E.I. snow shoes. Exceptional food, friendly folks, and gorgeous scenery.

Do not miss the Pearl Street Mall or a hike up the Foothills.

I just came back from a scorching hot weekend in Boulder, CO and LOVED IT. I was at the famous Pearl Street Mall on Friday participating in this awesome real-life "Where's Waldo?" search. Basically, it's the local businesses way of getting you into their shops.

If you love the outdoors, then this city is for you. There are a lot of bike trails and hiking trails in the area for you to enjoy. I loved the short hike around Mesa Lab and soaked in the amazing views.

Everyone I met were extremely nice and helpful. They were also very white and tall...I stood out like a sore thumb haha!

This is a very hippie, yuppie town. The town environment I love, but there the kind of people here I am not thrilled about. The people here have way too much money for me, and a few times I was treated with disrespect because I was not a rich snob.

On another note, IF YOU DO love culture and arts, this an amazing town. There is a lot of diverse things to explore here. It is a college town as well as a place to just enjoy exotic tea, foods, coffee or just do some right shopping (shopping is not my thing though).

A cute college town near Denver and home to the University of Colorado. There are lots of restaurants, shops and galleries throughout Boulder. It's fun just to walk around, visit the large variety of shops, and get a sense of the local color.

Boulder boasts 300 days of sunshine...really? I was a little skeptical about that little tidbit although I have visited Boulder many times in the past and to my luck, has never been rained or snowed on.

I've visited in the spring summer, fall and last week, I spent 6 days in Boulder in November this year. Although they just had a huge 15 inches of snow dump in one day the week before and it was freezing cold, it was indeed sunny.

Boulder is the epitomy of a college town: dynamic, exciting & full of positive energy. Pearl Street, the main hub is chocfull of bars, restaurants, shops. There are lots of people milling around that one can never feel alone or lonely.

Boulder, is of course beautiful. It is nestled at the foothills of the Flatirons, has a lovely creek that winds through town and creates an ambiance of peace and calm in an otherwise busy city.

The city never ceases to amaze me with its charm. You will find the happiest people living here: the clean air, the laid back style and the hospitality makes Boulder one of my favorite American cities.

I'm pretty certain Boulder is one of the best towns to live in on this planet. Everything there is just so nice, the town is clean, the people are friendly, and they've got medical marijuana. Boulder is also one of the greenest cities I've ever been to. Every place has 3 trash cans so the trash gets sorted and properly disposed of. If I could afford to live in Boulder I think I'd have a house there already.

Boulder reminds me of a cleaner Berkeley except it is really lacking in ethnic diversity. I love the emphasis on health and all the health food stores. It is really a beautiful area.

Boulder is one of my favorite towns in the world. It sits right up against the foot of the Rockies, so there is tons of mountain biking, hiking and exploring to have. Its host to the university of colorado, so lots of bars and good cheap eats.

I lived here for a couple of years while I was in grad school and loved it. If it was up to me I would still be there. Beautiful place, great quality of life, awesome weather, skiing close by.

Good place to live, don't think it's a good place for a tourist unless you are checking it out for living there.

Description

Boulder, the bastion of Colorado liberalism, has always been a choice destination for hippies, ski enthusiasts, mountain bikers and, most recently, ultimate sports players. Now, if you are a cultured city-slicker who feels that Boulder may not be a place for you to visit; think again. This city of about a hundred-thousand left-leaning environmentalists, offers visitors a surprising variety of cultural attractions, from galleries and cafes to a thriving film culture. The city even hosts a couple of annual film festivals such as The Shoot Out 24-Hour Filmmaking Festival and the Boulder International Film Festival. It is also home to a variety of music, from classical to jazz to pop, and from informal street performances to concert music.
