This hotel is not for the budget traveler! It is located in an exclusive neighborhood behind Assemblée Nationale and just off the Place du Palais de Bourbon. You can’t find much more of a safer area in Paris and you are also walking distance to the Seine and the Musée d’Orsay.
The hotel itself is currently decorated in a classic and elegant style but they will be undergoing renovations from the end of January until the end of April 2014. The hotel will be modernized and the tiny charming elevator will be replaced with a large one that can accommodate guests and their luggage. The rooms and bathrooms are a good size and breakfast is also available, either in the dining room or delivered to your door (if you prefer to enjoy it in bed). Room service is also available in the evening until 2am. Great for a romantic weekend!

The hotel is located in a quiet and pleasant square near the Assemblée Nationale. This area is not particularly trendy, but is close enough to the lively Saint-Germain-des-prés neighborhood to make it the best of both worlds.
Inside, the hotel lobby looks as tasteful as its surroundings, but venture a little further inside (sitting room, dining room), and the décor starts to feel more scattered. The same can be said of the rooms, which seem to be the luck of the draw: some were cute and quaint, while others were oddly-shaped and colored and did not fit with the decorating scheme.
Also, I must take it upon myself to warn all claustrophobics that, though Paris is not known for its spacious elevators, the Hotel Bourgogne et Montana’s lift was on another level (excuse the pun).
Overall, the hotel was “ok”, but at this price range, I feel that there are much better options nearby.

Hotel Bourgogne & Montana is situated in the heart of the city, walking distance from Invalides, Concorde, Musee d'Orsay and Louvre making it the perfect headquarters for sightseeing and museum hopping. The area is calm and safe, the Assemblée Nationale is right next to the hotel, and the whole area has that quiet dignity of grand buildings.
Yes, the elevator is extremely small between the spiral staircase, but that just fits the picture of a charming Parisian building with all its quirks. The junior suite is roomy and equipped with renovated, modern bathroom. The lobby is nicely decorated with modern sofas and cool art, and the breakfast room is filled with light. A very classic Parisian hotel.

We have stayed here many times. The location is perfect for the D'Orsay & Louvre given a 20 minute walk via the Tuileries Park, and for the Invalides & Rodin in the other direction. Its a small hotel in a reasonably quiet area, and handy for good restaurants. There were 'moans' on 'tripadviser' about the tiny old (character) lift, and the rooms on the top floor are not large, but we loved the lift, and the view of the Eiffel Tower by night from our attic window.
