This was a really nice surprise. I booked it because it was the cheapest Hotel I could find in that area, but I don't regret anything. My single room was very nice and the TV had more channel (and in more languages) than I expected. Breakfast was included and they had a reasonable choice of food and drinks. The staff was incredibly helpful and the best thing was that they were extremely flexible with check-in and check-out times. It was also in a very good position, ten minutes away from Roma Termini Station and a nice walk from all the main sights in Rome. I managed to see all the things Rome is famous for even though I only had less then 24 hours there. The bathroom smelled a little, but apart from that, it was very good.

I think that if you're going to be in the hotel business, taping paper signs with tiny tiny writing indicating where the entrance to one hotel is versus the other is a bit tacky not to mention confusing and hard to understand. From what I gather, there are two hotels sort of at the same location? The hotel is completely uninviting, and I found the staff to be a bit lackadaisical. The inside isn't all that bad, but I didn't feel comfortable at all. The location of the hotel isn't the greatest either. However, the price is right, and if you plan to spend 12-16 hours of your day out and about, then perhaps the things that bothered me might not bother you.

Can’t say I was super impressed with this hotel. Maybe it was all the brown furnishings...walnut colored wood paneling, walnut colored furniture...a splash of color would add some life to its ambiance. It’s located in the Porta Pia area of Rome, which is near the train station and well-connected the most of the sights in the city, but not one of Rome’s most interesting neighborhoods. There are quite a bit of embassies on the same street, so it feels super safe with so many guards standing on the sidewalks. The actual hotel is directly in front of a nice garden belonging to, I think, the English embassy, which means it’s quieter than other hotels I’ve stayed in while in Rome. The staff didn’t seem too welcoming in my opinion but “did their job”. There is a small patio area which is especially nice when the weather permits and the reading room is a nice addition for when you don’t feel like being out in the chaotic city nor cooped up in your room.
