The best boozy Sunday brunch party in NYC! I celebrated my birthday here and had the best time ever. You'll want to make reservations far in advance as everyone comes in large groups and try to make them for after 1pm, because...
The place transforms from a bright and airy fancy brunch spot into a nightclub in the Meatpacking at 3pm. It's AMAZING. They close the doors and pull the drapes to blacken out the place and the music goes from yacht rock to full on house beats. You might not want to bring your parents here unless they party just as hard as you.
Practically everyone is there celebrating a birthday or a special occasion so every 10 minutes, someone gets a huge sundae or bottle with a massive sparkler brought to their table. It's really cool, but after 10 times, it does get kind of old.
Wish there were more places like this around! Oh, and the food and drinks are really good too!Recommended for:Trendsters

Gogobot had a wonderful time experiencing A Taste of St Tropez at Beaumarchais and then the Nuit Blanche burlesque dinner. The atmosophere is sexy and intimate with sensual photography hanging on the walls, the food included a delicious tuna tartare, melt in your mouth gnocci and chocolate lava bites. Beaumarchais' staff is the friendliest and most accomodating in NYC. I love coming here, it feels like family to me.

Writing this review strictly from the point of view of having attended the Gogobot reception there this evening. Nice place, cool French jazz vibe. Specialty cocktails were expertly crafted and delicious. A small tasting of tuna tartare was passed around and very delicious. A half-dollar sized sampling of flour-less chocolate cake was decadent and melt-in-your-mouth cocoa deliciousness. If this is a true sampling of the drink and food normally served there, then a return visit is in order! A special thanks to Jenny Layne Cardon and Gogobot for presenting us wit a Taste of St. Tropez. It was fun.

Fun for first timers in NYC. Not so fun if you've been more than once. The sparklers and flying super women/men are kinda over kill after so many magnums being delivered. Great concept, we need something like this on the West Coast. Just re invented. ;)

**PRICEY BRUNCH SPOT WITH DOUCHE ABUNDANCE**
For Sunday brunch, we celebrated a friend's birthday here.
Ordered the Eggs Benedict ($16) which consisted of Canadian bacon, poached eggs, spinach, and Hollandaise sauce. Tasted decent and it wasn't bad.
Most the cocktails were priced at $12 and they weren't strong.
Around 2PM, the curtains were drawn and the DJ pumped up the house jams.
And then customers would purchase bottles of Dom Pérignon and the theatrics were out of control.

I was over it after witnessing the theatrics for the 10th+ time.
Sure, there were beautiful people with the latest and greatest fashion accessories.
But there were also douchebags who would inappropriately grab women.
The front reception lady was a French snob, whereas our French waitress was considerably nice. So, give and take.
I'm an easy-going person for the most part BUT I detest fakers and douchebaggery.
Didn't care for this place.
WOULD NOT RECOMMEND NOR RETURN.
