This is a very original small cafe in the heart of Marais. They serve galettes (savoury crepes) from Brittany region mainly. They also have a very broad menu for sweet crepes as well. Food is superb and original. Sometimes they would also have oysters (Brittany style) If you are lucky, you can taste them before or after a huge galette...

I did not like this place. From the time I ordered til I left. It was not so busy brunch time, my friend and I wanted to share a savory crepe and a sweet one. We were not allowed, that is just their policy, no sharing. You both have to order the same savory category, or sweet category. WTH? I guess the French are just not family oriented to share, "you have to eat your own and don't touch mine". So I got the popular savory buckwheat crepe with eggs, cheese, and mushroom added. It tasted ok, actually a bit salty. I know French butter is popular because it's not pasteurized, but it was a salty all over. After that, I was not interested in ordering a sweet crepe. The waiter seemed to rush us to leave since they were starting to get a lunch crowd. I rather get a crepe off the street stalls for both tastes and value. No thanks to unfriendly service and restaurant policy.

Breizh Café in the 3rd is THE place for crepes. They use in-season ingredients for savory crepes. It is better to reserve a table on weekends as this small, charming restaurant fills up fast with locals. Located near heart of Marais for great shopping and strolling.
