Chicken and Waffles - the most balanced brunch item I can ever imagine. What's better than crispy, fried chicken with yeasty waffles, covered in syrup and butter?
So, then, it get even better than that? By having a multitude of waffle and chicken options! Want some pesto? Want some goat cheese and honey? Want some eggs? Want some salsa? There's a menu item for that! A whole page dedicated to improving waffles and fried chicken.
They have some interesting drink items, and if you're seated outside, then you can't order anything alcoholic. Keep in mind if you want the hair of the dog, and waiting for the next available table might net you one in the sun!Recommended for:

I always enjoy a great breakfast spot, and this is one of them. One of my favorite items on the menu is the big breakfast, which is turkey sausage, smoked applewood bacon, breakfast potatoes & scrambled eggs with waffle or toast. The portions are huge, just the way I like them. The amount of food as well as the quality is well worth the wait. If you get there early, the wait time is not as bad, sometimes none, but if you get there late, your wait time can be 30 minutes to an hour. Service is great, and is a non issue. Joe and Imay took great care of me and made sure that my needs were satisfied from the food coming promptly to checking up and making sure everything is good.
If your in the area and are looking for a great breakfast spot, you have to give this place a try. Parking is on the street.

**SUPER SOLID CHICKEN AND WAFFLE**
I wanted chicken and waffles for my bday lunch, dammit.
And I was going to get it . . .
Somewhat difficult, but you maybe lucky in their back parking lot.
Since we had reservations, we were seated immediately and greeted happily by a friendly staff.
Cute, fun European cafe-looking and/or diner (with yellow and blue hues).
**DWIGHT"S SPECIAL - $13.50
Belgian waffle topped with two pieces of boneless, skinless crispy chicken was the best I've personally had. And the accompanied REAL maple syrup was just heavenly on a plate.
**BELLINI - $10
Mionetto organic Prosecco with organic mango nectar was surprisingly strong and nicely flavored. I was buzzing after one of these.
My friend and co-worker ordered the BEERMOSA and it was HUGE. Worth the $9.
Also received a dessert waffle with whipped cream for the finale bday treat.
Loved the atmosphere and those tasty chicken and waffles!

Yumm yummm yumm! If it wasn't one of my best friends that surprised me with lunch here this afternoon, I would have said it was a man after my heart :)
Me "I ran 10 miles this morning"
Him "bring your walking shoes, we're walking to lunch"
Us - walk 3 miles on this gorgeous Sunday afternoon to Bru's
I LOVE walking to eat!!! almost as much as I love wine.
I was only a little hungry on the walk there but once we arrived, the delish smell had me "starving"!
We were told the wait was 15 minutes, every table was taken so we stood outside to chat and were seated outdoors just a few minutes later.
We shared the banana, peanut butter and bacon waffle with powdered sugar - soooooo tasty! with maple syrup
AND we shared the fried chicken waffle - also very good! the gravy and Louisiana hot sauces were awesome.
Non fat latte was also very good and the iced coffee looked really refreshing
Great neighborhood spot. I think we'll try the churro and banana split waffle's next time! The pbj also looks really tasty.

Everybody loves waffles, so Bru's is mixing waffles into some of your favorite dishes. I really liked my scrambled eggs with prosciutto on top of their famous waffle. With a side of maple syrup, the dish was not too salty or sweet, but just perfect. The chicken and waffles was also very good. I loved the way they pounded the chicken before frying, so they are not as tough as regular chicken breasts. The service is a little bit slow, even when the restaurant is not full, but I can't wait to go back to try their waffle pizza or waffle sliders.
