Buddha Bar is located one block over from the posh Rue St. Honore. There is a big buddha inside the bar and restaurant. It is pricey but the ambient music (which has turned into a popular CD compilation for chill-out music) and candle lit atmosphere make this a place worth going if you want to experience the intimate night life in Paris.Recommended for:Nightlife Lovers

OK, for some folks, this might be a little more touristy than hip, but I had a really fun time here. It's a ridiculously spectacular nightclub that doubles as an excellent restaurant during early evening hours. What's fun is to time your dinner late enough to watch the transition from one to another - a place of refined elegance and quiet dining will transform into a wild asylum of dance and the underworld in a matter of an hour of so. It's like watching a chameleon change color, only it's a building with people and art and music. Crazy.

I had heard great things about this place, however as a traveller on a budget it was definitely the wrong place to go! The drinks menu, while exquisite, was extremely expensive. But it is the right place to go for someone who wants a nice, intimate and pricy experience.
