Buddy Lodge has a Mcdonald’s on the ground floor, a brick fire station like exterior, rooms that are decorated in a tropical manor style with antique lamps and four-poster beds with canopies, a full Moo Ay Tai boxing gym and boxing ring on the 5th floor, and a little roof top pool with a bar that sells car bombs and mohitos among other drinks. I can honestly say I’ve never seen a hotel offering the combination of what it offers before. With the dark wooden interiors, the rooms feel classy, but when you get tired of all that class, as we all inevitably do, you can go right outside to hang out on Khao San Road or up to the pool for drinks. There are deals for booking on-line.Recommended for:

On one of Bangkok's busiest roads, this hotel is a quiet oasis with its rooftop swimming pool, fully equipped fitness room and spa. It also has a homey lounge/bar where you can play pool while sipping on cocktails. The bar is not just for hotel patrons, though, so make sure you're comfortable with a rowdy crowd off the street coming in.Recommended for:

Buddy! Suits the name of this hotel as it’s situated smack bang on khao san road; the party street of Bangkok. You have to walk past a McDonalds into an alley way of shops. At the end is where you’ll find the entrance and reception. So it’s central but a little away from the street life. I think the best thing about this place is the gym. You can learn muay thai here. I have never seen that offered in any other hostel or hotel before. They even have a boxing ring! The poolside bar offered a special on mojitos from 10 until 8pm for 120 baht. The rooms itself are very tasteful with wooden flooring and a balcony. To be honest, I was surprised you could find something this nice on Khao san road. Rooms include a mini fridge and a desk.

Very seasonble 3 star hotel to stay on Khao San Road. Its decor inside feels like the a beach side resort with nice wooden floors. I have been to Bangkok 8 times and whenever I need a place to stay arond Khao San Road, this was my choice. I usually like to stay here because of the nightlife on Khao San and the restaurants and pubs close by. Others areas in Bangkok I like are Sukumvit, Silom and also Pratunam. Traffic in Bangkok is terrible and I stay according to where I am hanging out that night.
