The heart of Chaweng Beach is always very busy and it’s usually hot out, so the first thing that you notice at Buri Rasa is that it’s cool, quiet, and wonderfully shaded. It’s a beachfront resort, but all the rooms are at the property’s center and the design emphasis was on the gardens and the interesting combination of modern and traditional Thai architecture, so you get an atypical beach holiday along with the best of Chaweng. It’s a luxury resort, but very family friendly, and you can’t go wrong when the GM Bernd Schilling and his staff are taking care of you. I really like the attention to detail with the overall design which allows for a great deal of privacy, and all rooms have either a balcony or walled terrace, draped four poster beds, and big bathrooms.

Diner at Buri Rasa is the best! Great atmosphere, the staff is really friendly. Would recommend to take the menu with a bottle of wine, a night to never forget!Recommended for:Luxury Travelers

Located on the less hyperactive side of Chaweng Beach, Buri Rasa offers the best of both worlds: a quiet retreat and a beautiful beach, but also easy access to shopping, restaurants and nightlife. Based on a Thai village concept, the resort is built in a garden of thick shady trees in Southern-Thai architecture with contemporary touches. The rooms layout impressed me most as they are meticulously arranged to provide maximum privacy. Ground floor rooms are set in a private garden with an outdoor plunge pool, while upper floor rooms have a comfortable balcony. All this is designed so it’s virtually impossible to peek into adjacent rooms. The service is always impeccable and dining options are abundant, with a special mention for The Beach Club which has great prices for grilled seafood, Thai and Western options.
