Burj Al Arab is a luxury hotel located in Dubai, sometimes described as "the world's first Seven-Star hotel". Burj al-Arab was the dream of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan al Nahyan, which turned out to be a physical reality years later in Dubai. The tower that resembles the sail of dhow. The hotel rests on an artificial island constructed 280 m (920 ft) offshore. Burj al-Arab has the most luxurious interior imaginable, the nights at Burj al-Arab start at $1000. The Royal Suite costs $28000 per night. It hosts a helipad (helicopter trips to the center of Dubai or to the Dubai International Airport), where Andre Agassi had a tennis game with Roger Federer. The majestic building is recognized as the symbol of Dubai.Recommended for:

The Burj al Arab is the tallest and most luxerious suite-only hotel of the world. The "normal" Deluxe suite offers an entrance area, bar, large work desk with free internet connection and a fax machine, sitting area with 42'' plasma-TV, living room with TV set, eating area, fully equipped kitchen, baggage store room, masterbed room, bathroom with bath tub (whirlpool) and shower + 2 washbasins. You have wall-to-wall windows (nobody can look in) with a marvelous view over the sea. All in all you have a minimum of 3 TV-sets and 3 minibars with an good and international selection. You can use the electronical curtains operated by an multifunctional remote-control which is also used for the TV set. You get your own butler who is responsible for all your requests and whishes. The ambience is great and you'll enjoy your stay there. I DID!!

Besides a two-floor room with a jacuzzi, huge TV, an amazing interior design, and local sweets being delivered to your room every morning, the hotel offers you an amazing beach, interesting activities (karaoke, bar, sauna, Thai massage and many others) and moreover, a jet parking on the roof of the hotel, from which you can take a trip all over the beautiful city of Dubai (for a reasonable price, of cource)! The building has a beautiful shape of a sail, which your eyes can always enjoy seeing everytime you come back. The service is on top, once you enter the building you notice not only the professionalism of the staff, but also a great hall with big aquariums in the walls full of exotic fishes, which you probably won't be able to take your eyes off for the first few minutes. Overall, if you're looking for a perfect hotel, Burj Al Arab is not it. But if you're looking for a hotel that is beyond your dreams, welcome aboard!

The architecture is absolutely fantastic! This is probably the only hotel I have been where a regular guided tour of the property is available for visitors....make this hotel a bona fide tourist attraction. HOWEVER, security is very tight here so in order to get through the security gate located BEFORE the bridge to this island hotel, one must be either a registered guest or a restaurant guest with confirmed reservations.

The Burj Al Arab is one of Dubai's famous landmarks because of its unique architecture. Shaped as a ships sail, it stands on its own artificial island off Jumeirah Beach. The hotel claims to be the worlds only seven star hotel, but is officially five stars. The construction looks impressive from the outside, but many have commented on the hotels interior, from tacky to an eyesore. The hotel is expensive to stay in, but can be enjoyed by a visit to the sky bar for cocktails or high afternoon tea. You can't just walk in to visit, you need to have a booking. Definitely worth a visit or stay to tick off the 'places to go in the world list!'.
