Busch Gardens is less than an hour away and a great park to spend the day. Roller Coasters, elephants, giraffes, beer garden. Great family day.

Busch Garden Tampa is about an hour drive from our townhouse. It's a great park for all ages. There are some big roller coasters that attract many thriller seekers from all over the place. But don't worry if you have young kids, there are a sesame street park with smaller rides and shows just for them. Busch garden is also a great natural wild life park. The animal safari is a must if you love animals. We didn't get to see it last trip due to the maintenance but when we go back in the summer we will make sure to try that. Also when you buy the tickets, try to get a combo ticket with Seaworld which will save you a lot $$$.

My favorite theme park when I was growing up in south Florida. Not for those with motion sickness problems- this park is predominately roller coaster driven. They have rides where your feet dangle to roller coasters where you get wet. A dream for adrenaline junkies.

Def worth having a pass. Roller coasters are awesome and great place to walk around and see the animals. If your a local, it's a good get away during the week during off season

Ahh peace and quiet, animals, rides, screaming kids on rides, and beer! who could ask for more. they keep the grounds great. Only bad feature is extremely long lines when its tourist season and its a very very very large park with tons of things to do it will take 2 or 3 full days to complete the park with the animals, rides, water attraction's and eating and oh yeah the walking its enough walking to make you lose 20 pounds :-)

Very enjoyable place to visit over and over again. The year pass is the best idea they have come up with. The roller coasters are fantastic, the other rides great, and the stores have some beautiful crafts for sell. It works out well to bring in snacks in a backpack and store it in lockers when on rides. We freeze pouched drinks and eat them as slushies as the day gets warm. Our family has really enjoyed our time there over the years. Be sure to wear pants meant to shed water quickly as you will get waterlogged on many of the rides.

I know its a major theme park but still well worth a visit, so much to do and see. Take plenty of water and good, comfortable walking shoes. Not just for kids but adults too.

Often overlooked by the Disney, Universal and Sea World, but by gosh I don't know why, this has some of my favourite roller coasters ever in! So many of them just compacted into this one place, including the theme of going around the world and seeing all of the so so many animals! A fantastic place to go if you're in Florida!

Lots of roller coasters for thrill seekers. Animals, shows and of course the Hospitality House where you can sample the Anheiser-Busch product lines.

This is a great theme park. The animal safari was the best. The beauty of the park and the workmanship is spectacular. The rides are wonderful. I love the blend of zoo activities and fun activities. The Christmas shows with the animals were absolutely amazing.

Coming from CA, I couldn't help but compare Busch Gardens to Great America.

    Both parks have:

    - relatively cheap tickets, and with Busch Gardens, military get in for free once a year!
    - short lines during low season
    - Top Gun = Montu = favorite rides
    - Rip Roaring Rapids = Congo River Rapids
    - expensive food
    - cheesy themed kids zones

Busch Gardens does have the zoo aspect, but I feel Great America has more roller coasters. Overall great fun for roller coaster thrill seekers.

This Busch Gardens has more coasters than the Williamsburg one, I think. I like that it is kind of a zoo as well as an amusement park.

I loved being here. I would not want to go in the hot months though as the animals would be very stinky. There was a free safari ride i went on and got very close to the rinos. I will never forget that!

It's a lot for those with physical limitations (poor knees feet etc) & it will NEVER be the same with out the FREE BEER (Budweiser Anhowseur busche) but for a GOOD TIME cool rides & pleasant atmosphere it is the perfect break (seasonal features & shows can not be beat)

This a a great amusement park that offers a huge variety of activities. There are plenty of high-speed roller coasters and thrill rides. Or if that isn't your thing there is also a large zoo and many different themed shows. There are also beer tastings through the day.
