Southeast Grind is one of the few coffee houses that are opened 24 hours every day! It's a haven for students. I came here quite a bit when I was studying for exams. Unfortunately, a bunch of other students did too so the seats got filled up very quickly.

Edelweiss Sausage & Delicatessen serves all kinds of foods, wines, and treats related to Germany. Meat lovers will salivate over Edelweiss's Germany-style sausages and bacon. In addition to the sit-and-dine restaurant, they also have an extensive grocery store, so you can stock up on German and other European based goods.

This is one of the most amazing coffee shops in a city filled with amazing coffee shops. They only offer single origin coffees from carefully selected farmers and pull espresso shots on a hand made machine. The cafe is a huge industrial space shared with a bamboo manufacturer and just adds to the whole experience. One of the best choices ...

I stopped in New Seasons and the parking lot is indeed a little dodgy. And I'm thankful that no pedestrian, bike, or vehicle was harmed as I maneuvered in and out of this obstacle course. But that's on the outside. Inside I found a market that if full of energy, friendly people (on both sides of the cash register), and ...

Jam gets jam packed on the weekends for brunch. It's a wee bit over hyped in my humble opinion, but the salmon scrambler (a popular dish in the Northwest) is good. Also, be prepared to see a lot of hipsters waiting for a table.
