This restaurant has a pleasant venue in Seaport Village along the waterfront next to the San Diego Convention Center, near the Manchester Hyatt and the San Diego Marriott.
For you locals, shame on you for the poor reviews! You should know better than to come here! Take this for what it is, a tourist spot for conventioneers with expense accounts and vacation tourists hungry after trinket shopping! Captive audience!
There is plenty of sunny outdoor seating, so this can be a pleasant respite for the Trade Show businessperson and tourist alike. There menu is eclectic with some decidely Island influences in the offerings.
My friend and I both were attracted to the Pork Luau Sandwich. It wasn't bad, actually quite tasty for someone who hadn't had much for breakfast. It wasn't cheap, but what did you expect from Seaport Village?
If you are from out of town and here on business or vacation, I say eat here. I was staying at the Hyatt, and the choice was eat in there for $25 for morsels or eat here for half the price and get something half decent.
If you are a local, shame on your for expecting more! There are so many good places to eat in SD, many just a few blocks away in the Gas Lamp, you should know better by now!
