Cabana Las Lilas restaurant in Puerto Madero is a place to eat if you have only one chance to eat in Buenos Aires, especially if you like meat. Don't miss the great red Argentinean wines.Recommended for:

Cabana Las Lilas is one of BA's most expensive steak houses. It has been said that dignitaries and celebrities have dinned here. It is a beautiful steak house, right next to the water and they offer a great selection of premium cut steaks. Reservations are taken months in advance and it is one of the few places in BA that you might not be able to walk-in to eat there. We had a large group with us and were able to snatch a table early in their dinner service. I opted for their Kobe beef steak and while it was cooked to perfection and tasty, I am not sure if I would spend the money to eat here again. The service here is really top notch and they have an excellent selection of wines. The demographic of the patrons is definitely older, wealthier aristocrats, but we still felt comfortable.

An absolute MUST for an amazing dining experience. Try to get seating outside- wonderful views of the rio (at night), beautiful ambiance with immaculate service.
Careful on filling up on the delicious complementary starters because you won't have room for anything else. It's definitely not for a traveler on a budget.

This restaurant is located in Puerto Madero which is in a newer part of BA. It's very clean and kind of on the touristy side and frequented by a lot of Americans. Still they remain true to their roots and serve up some delicious steaks.
Caution. Do not fill up on the complimentary starters and breads. It's good, but wait for the main event.
