Cabbage Beach

North Side of Paradise Island, Nassau Bahamas
5 reviews

A little bit crowded, the sand is very sticky and cold, the beach is beautiful. The water is so clear you can see your foot.

Blue Lagoon Island is about a half hour boat ride from Nassau. The waters are warm, clear and bright blue. It's a private-owned island and has various activities such as swimming with dolphins. I highly recommend participating in this activity!

I did the shark dive package with Stuarts Cove which included one regular dive and one shark specific dives. The regular dive had plenty of sharks nearby as well. Stuarts Cove is a fairly well run and organized dive operation. The staff are all young and experienced divers from around the world and they do not lack in wetsuit/BC sizes ...

Dolphin Encounter is based in Blue Lagoon Island and is about 30 minutes from Nassau via motorboat. The dolphins have been trained and several of them have been featured in films such as Flipper. While I was there, I had a dolphin glide me across the water with his snout. It was awesome!

If you like bargaining, this is the place you want to go. They say that you should try to negotiate the price down to half of their initial price quote. One pro-tip is, you should know what you want and try not to come back a 2nd time, otherwise, they know they've got you and won't offer you a lower ...

Cable Beach is a gem for Caribbean beach goers: secluded, clear warm water, soft sand, and cocktails served in coconuts with little umbrellas. The beach is privately located behind the back of the Wyndham Nassau & Crystal Palace Casino and Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort & Casino. It is also exclusive to resort guest only.

Definitely check out Fort Charlotte after you spent a sufficient amount of time lounging on the beach, shopping for souvenirs and jewelry, and sipping countless Bahama Mamas. This fort is a great contribution to Bahamian history and it offers an amazing view of downtown Nassau and the cruise port.
