If you've never been to Cabbage Key, you have to find a way. Unique Old Florida. The Inn and Restaurant sits 39 feet above sea level on top of an old Calusa Indian Mound. Put a signed dollar bill on the wall with the thousands of others. It's about a 30 minute boat trip from LGI.

This is a boating destination (the only way to get there) for lunch and dinner. A beautiful shell island built by the Caloosa Indians before the Spaniards arrived. The grand porch entrance is shaded by Royal Poinciana Trees. Legend has it that fishermen left a dollar on the wall to ensure enough for a drink on return from fishing. It is a tradition carried on today by locals and tourists alike. If you stop by the bar, say hi to Tassie for us.
