This place is always so full just because of the great vibe it has, the food here is pretty good but a bit pricey I think. It's a great place for a sunny day if you want to sit outside and enjoy the sun.

Free parking underground, great service, great food (Chimichurri chicken panini and frozen mocha)! They have different specials everyday!

Probably the best coffee shop in Menlo Park, Borrone is an institution. All glass walls and lots of outdoor seating make it a great hang out on a sunny day (less so when its cold). The food is very good - especially the eggs for breakfast and the espresso drinks. Good (if pricey) sandwiches for lunch. Downside is that it is always crowded, and you have to order at the counter, so you often find yourself waiting in line to order. But the crowds are there for a reason. Just avoid the fish sandwich. Not good.

it's an institute. coffee is OK, maybe OK+. lemon test - self service.
my problem: figure out a way to better manage the sitting in peak time. people competing on who'll get first to the table that just freed up is z fun spoiler, that even the best salad won't fix. do something.

Minus one star for the cost of food here - it is Menlo Park after all but it's bloody expensive. My pastrami sandwich was $9 or so (comes with a pepper) and tasted good but if you do come here, get dessert. More bang for your buck.

It's Saturday, 1:00 pm. The South Bay sun is shining as bright as ever, and you want to relax in the rays and catch up on your favorite novel or last week's work report. Maybe it's Sunday, after morning church service, and you want to go out with a few good friends and chat over good food and a cold glass of delicious iced tea. If you fit in any of these situations, or even if you don't, you've got to try Cafe Borrone in Menlo Park. Located on El Camino Real, this joint has delicious salads and sandwiches, great cafe atmosphere, and a lot of sunlight. Bring a book, your homework, or your friends, and have a great meal under the sun.

Get the spinach salad. I'm seriously. As I've heard it, most of the food here is pretty good. My personal favorite is, of course, the spinach salad with avocado. Great spot for lunch or breakfast with ample outdoor seating for enjoying the oft-beautiful Palo Alto weather.

This is my go-to place for sunday morning brunch (me and everyone else on the penninsula) - although there can be a line to order at peak times for brunch - the line moves quickly and efficiently. The scrambles are simple but delicious - and they really know how to make their coffee drinks!
For lunch, you can't go wrong with anything, but I personally love the spinach salad. It is simple (candied walnuts, baby spinach and feta cheese) and amazing. Grab a table outside or inside and they'll bring you your order.
