Cafe Des Amis is a popular eatery in Paia, specializing in French food with local Hawaiian food and ingredients. I ordered the crepe from their menu, it came with a side of green salad. The crepe was nice and hot, with the cheese melting. The salad was not so fresh though, some of the edges were already yellow in color. The service was good. Other than the old salad, I would have given it a higher rating.

Sitting in a sunny window at Café Des Amis I sipped a lovely cappuccino made with Lavazza coffee and ordered a Maui tomato, feta, basil and spinach crepe from a sour tempered waitress. I enjoyed my wait in the casual, bright, airy space while watching the regular spectacle of Paia locals outside.
My Crepe arrived quickly. I was surprised at its simplicity for $13.00 but thoroughly reveled in the mingling of fresh flavors. The tomato was otherworldly and aromatic. There was just enough feta throughout; the spinach was wilted not beyond discernable texture and a perfect egg over easy made it feel like an actual breakfast. Still, I was a bit hungry for something more, though I refrained from ordering. I took note of an array of other items on the menu - smoothies ($5.95), beer and wine ($7-$9), savory and sweet crepes, wraps, Indian curries and salad ($10-$15). Worth the entertaining local scene, but perhaps just a coffee next time!Recommended for:Vegetarian

Cute cute patio! Great savory crepes and curries, the vegetarian appetizer platter is lovely as well. Go during happy hour when all alcoholic drinks are 50% off and enjoy a glass of $4 wine with your meal. I recommend the shrimp curry with the habanero chutney if you like a little heat. Definitely a cute hole-in-the-wall to be discovered!

Im a huge fan of their outdoor seating are right in the heart of Paia. It is absolutely worth it just to sit outside and watch all the silly fun that tends to unfold outside Mana Foods. They have a very simple mediterranean inspired menu...crepes, curries, greek salad, etc. Here's a tip: Try the greek salad and add shrimp and avocado. It's not on the menu but it's what I get everytime. Sometimes they have live music outside and I hear Lucas Nelson just did a solo set there. Great Maui spot for non expensive dining with friends.Recommended for:Foodies

What a cozy little cafe! The outdoor seating area is great - I could hang out here for hours. They specialize in Mediterranean and Indian fare. They have a variety of sweet and savory crepes as well. Their hummus platter is huge, and enough for four people to snack on.
