AHHHMAZING. That would be the word I use to describe Cafe Dulce. There is not one thing I don't love about this up and coming cafe in the middle of my favorite little city: Little Tokyo. From their sandwiches to their coffee to their pastries to their staff - everything is Y-U-M-M-Y. ;]

    Check out my Vlog Review!
    youtube.com/watch?v=nFXp…

Their original brick toast + their 18 hour iced coffee (I can't ever remember the proper name.) = soul mates. They go perfect together and I can't ever walk in without ordering them both.

ALL their coffee based drinks are great - after your first sip, you're going to be able to tell the superior quality of the beans they use (via LAMILL) as oppose to Starbucks. (sorry Starbucks fans!) When you order your coffee based drink here, it tastes just as it should: like coffee. I am tired of going to these whack ass cafes peddling coffee drinks that taste like liquid sugar. So thank you Cafe Dulce - a real cafe with real tasting coffee drinks.

They also have some of the yummiest pastries I've ever had: green tea doughnuts, brick toast (in two flavors: green tea & original), roti buns, and such. In addition to their pastries & breads, they have sandwiches!! This place is perfect for a quick cup of coffee and a doughnut or you can do lunch here too =] But don't forget to save room for some dessert: icecream!

I love that Little Tokyo finally has a REAL cafe, Cafe Dulce is perfect at their craft, their staff are knowledgeable about their products, everything tastes great, the prices to portions are so ridiculous, you think you're being tricked, and the place is decorated minimally but still nice.

I like everything here but I really love roti buns and dulce latte here. Barista here does nice latte art. They have blueberry, mocha, green tea, sweet potato roti and I believe this is the only place you can get all these different flavors. They do seasonal donuts and pastries too. Like around Halloween, they had peanut butter cup donut and pumpkin roti bun.
They do bake cakes too and they are good as it looks.

I wasn't too impressed with their green tea donut. It's filled with custard (?) cream which I think over powers the green tea flavor. Maybe my expectations were too high...I'm not saying it tasted bad. I thought I'd taste the green tea. Part of me wish I ordered the $1 fruity cereal donut hole.

The staff was attentive and sweet. Their service was fast and they were always smiling.

My sister ordered the Jasmine tea latte, which was really good. If you love tea then I would recommend it.

Because I like getting unique drinks, I got the Gen Mai Cha Latte aka Gen Mai Cha Bomb lol I could taste the Gen Mai and the latte. The combination didn't mix well but i didn't mind drinking it. Everytime I took a sip I wondered if I liked it or not...then sipped it again. The crunchy gen mai rice in the latte was a lil weird.

I tried the chai latte and it was delicious, with a bit of a kick. My friend had one of the specialty Japanese drip coffees and the taste was smooth almost like a coffee/tea blended. There is also a bacon doughnut. Nope, not brave enough to go.there.

The tapioca rolls are really interesting because they are chewy in the inside due to the tapioca. Their fried hot dog is also super delicious. I think they only have it during the summer

In the little tokyo plaza right in the middle of Little Tokyo where swarms of people constantly line up to get pastries of all kinds and then after get their drink on with all types of teas to coffees. This little cafe constantly keeps their desserts fresh and you can order anything on their menu and be sure that it isn't over a day old as they constantly sell out of their little pastries.

I liked the coffees and teas here - the Hong Kong Style Milk tea is especially one of my favorites. Creative baked goods and friendly staff, with awesome latte art!

**GOOD CAKES AND COFFEE IN LITTLE TOKYO**

    I couldn't hit it and split with the bacon doughnut . . . so . . . .

    ORDERED:

    **CAPPUCCINO - $3.75
They "proudly & exclusively" serve LAMILL Coffee & Tea and feature specialty drinks like the Vietnamese Style Iced Coffee, the Hong Kong Style Milk Tea, and the Organic Masala Chai Latte.

I liked the cappuccino, but didn't love it. Not strong enough. No buzz.
    RATING: 3/5

    **COCONUT LEMON CAKE - $6
Very moist, light, and flavorful. My ideal slice of dessert.
    RATING: 5/5

A cup Joe and a slice of cake together = around $10. Not exactly a cheap slice.

NOTE: There weren't too many places to sit down inside.

Will have to try their green tea doughnuts and that blueberry roti bun.

    RECOMMEND in Little Tokyo.

Donuts are fresh at 11am, that's the tip that I got from the super duper friendly cashier girl. I like her bubbliness. So whoever you are, good job for making me happy too. I came on a late Thursday night. When drinks were running slow, she made sure that those waiting didn't feel ignored. There's a good deal of selection here if you like donuts and dessert. I opted to try at least a latte as well since this is a cafe after all. Seating is pretty limited. There are tables outside but on a cold night you don't wanna be out there. There's an internet password, so just ask the barista.

-=-Dulce Latte-=- This and the regular latte are pretty similar, but the Dulce Latte is so much sweeter. Regular latte drinkers would probably not like this as much since the froth didn't give that enlightening taste that only froth lovers would know.

-=-Bacon Maple Donut-=- I had to get one of these because it was my first draw here from what others have mentioned to me. The dabs of bacon sweetened with maple syrup really does make for a great dessert flavoring. I would have probably enjoyed this more if it were hotter, but well, it was like fifty something degrees outside.

-=-Fruity Pebbles Donut Hole-=- I actually preferred this to the Bacon Maple Donut. Funny how that comes out of my mouth. It this case, the Fruity Pebbles Donut hole wasn't as sweet tasting as the Bacon Maple Donut. Me being a non-sweets person, I actually liked that.

Located in Inside of little Tokyo
This bakery serves Lamil coffee! I'm smiling. They don't serve your average donuts here. How about a Bacon bits donut or fruity pebble donut??... sounds amazing right?
For me, it's over hyped a bit.

Bacon donuts was a bit too dry.(if you like Bacon donuts, may I kindly suggest Nickel Diner a few miles down)

Fruity pebble donut was a bit stale. They should add the fruity pebbles on top of the glazed donut when people order them, not leaving it out.

Green tea donut was very sweet!

Desserts and drinks are pretty pricey and not really worth it in the quality. Coffee is Lamil but really it all depends on your barista... My barista put way to much milk in my ice cafe. :-(

Nice cafe filled with great coffee and plenty of desserts. They use stumptown coffee and usually have a number of options to go with your dessert.

It's not enough for coffee lovers to secure the right coffee bean and source, it's equally important that an expert prepare your coffee with an obsessive understanding of the meticulous timing and movement required to turn those magical beans into your daily elixir of caffeine. The staff at Cafe Dulce delivers in this way; they're truly obsessed with coffee. So much so that they enter barista competitions (yes, they have competitions apparently) and they win against some of the most recognizable coffee houses in LA.

Not only that, as Starbucks so famously touted on their advertisements, a good coffee deserves some good food. Cafe Dulce more than delivers in this realm. From some of the best and unique sandwiches around to their incomparable array of baked goods, you just can't go wrong with this amazing coffee shop.
