Housed in a historic, sunlit turn-of-the-century villa, Cafe im Literaturhaus is one of those restaurants you can sit for hours, greeted occasionally by friendly but not imposing servers. It helps that the breakfast offerings -- which range eggs with roma tomatoes and fresh basil to quinoa and amaranth müsli -- are delicious. It's situated on a cozy and elegant side street off of the bustling Kurfürstendamm, dotted with regal, art deco buildings that are the last traces of 1920s Berlin. Living up to its name, the cafe is next to a charming bookstore, as well as a garden and famous auction house, the Villa Grisebach.Recommended for:
