During our 3.5 day stay in DC, we came here twice for lunch :)
Super friendly service, comforting food, great beers!
I really like:
Potato Pancakes (complete with applesauce and sour cream)
Schwarzbir (dark beer)
My co-worker ordered Schnitzel with spaetzl (the pork one with german pasta bits) and he was raving about it.
Our 2nd time we took our boss here, and he enjoyed the food too!
Sausage Platter was plenty for 3 people to share.
Each time, we were totally too stuffed to try their Black Forest cake but my boss did order the eclair. Super smooth and not too sweet.
Awesome place, and love the atmosphere. Will come back if I ever visit DC again :)

On the last day of the DC leg of my trip, we walked by Cafe Mozart and were astonished at the delectable German finds inside! The front is a great deli with lots of selections and the back a nice restaurant.
We went when there was an afternoon beer special! Beer was the Haufbrauhouse style beer, other than that the pickings are slim. My bf was most impressed with the fact that they served liverwurst. The sausage platter was yum with all the sauerkraut.
Bier! Bratz! Bier!
