very authentic performance. You can feel the power and mystical atmosphere from the repetitive "cak" sounds as the ramayana story background, not to added it was performed on a seaside cliff with sunset as stage background. very recommended for culture lover

    Ubud Botanic Garden

    0.98 mi from Cafe Pomegranate
    10 reviews

I'm really not a garden person, but Ubud's Botanic Garden is a perfect place to wind down, walk around and have a snack. It was ridiculously humid (more so than in the town), so expect to move slowly when you're here. Admission was about $1, and I pretty much had the place to myself. The cafe is definitely worth a ...

Great place to pick up tchotchkes. Popular buys include batik sarongs, statuary, and wood carvings. They also sell mangosteen here, a beautiful, delicious fruit that resembles an eggplant/aubergine, has the texture of a litchi and tastes divine.

did a downhill cycling tour with Bali Baik, through the rice paddies and villages near Ubud. It was probably the most interesting and fun thing I've done in three visits to Bali. The bike tour has a bit of uphill in the beginning, but after that, we pretty much coasted downhill the entire way, through small villages and amazing scenery. ...

In the business of developing-world tour companies, all of whom offer essentially the same services, the lone metric is that of honesty, and this small office on Jl. Hanoman in Ubud acquits itself well on that account. They run tours and shuttles all over the island, and their motorbike rentals run 20,000-35,000Rp per day, depending on length of rental. I ...

This spa has a small storefront that you would miss if not looking for it. It's right across from a great place named Kafe. Behind the storefront, a nice courtyard opens up and they have private rooms for the massages that require less clothing. Overall, highly recommended if you just want a high quality, no frills massage. Open until 9pm.

Spa Hati offers affordable spa treatments in a nice atmosphere that has strong Balinese influences. There single treatment rooms are in covered rooms with a small courtyard and a small outdoor shower.
