My favorite coffee and tea house in SGV for studying and getting work done! Menu includes hot/cold espresso drinks, freshly made sandwiches (toasted upon request), internet, lots of outlet plugs, and clean restroom facilities, which are all good reasons to stick around for awhile.
Coffee drinks are made with LA Mill coffee beans. The most popular iced tea drink is the pomegranate black or green iced tea, mixed with lemonade if you like Arnold Palmers. Get the house tuna or house special (ham, turkey) sandwiches. Both are made with fresh greens and a nice pesto dressing/sauce.
I definitely took advantage of their free, unlimited Wi-Fi. I stay here for several hours at a time, reading and working on my laptop. Most people also come here to study, read, or work on their laptop, so it's usually very quiet. It's definitely not the place to chat with a friend because then all the other patrons would hear your conversation.

If it wasn't for Yelp, I would never now that this cute little place existed in Temple City. I was looking for a tea place to work on my laptop at and Cafe Roule is pretty great. The place is pretty quiet and they have cake, pastries, sandwiches, dessert and drinks.
The service is actually really great. They put the wifi password of the day on the receipt. That's a pretty smart idea. They pretty much leave you alone and you can sit around and work in peace for a long time.
I didn't try their food but their paninis look and smell amazing. I will have to come back and try that some time. I ordered the lychee green tea and I liked that it was not too sweet.
I believe that there is parking in the back of the store but there are also plenty of convenient street parking in front and to the side as well.
