It's amazing to be here for the Feast of Sant'Efiseo (May 1)--it kicks off with a fantastic parade through the historic center--natives in traditional costumes, flower-covered carts, soulful music played on launeddas=Sardinian bagpipes.

We took the ferry from Calasetta on Sant' Antioco Island, leaving the car behind. We had a great day walking all over town, looking at the sailboats, including a large one that was being restored. If you really want to see the island stay overnight and bring your car. It's an island off an island, so it's isolated and peaceful.
