This unassuming restaurant serves my favourite Ethiopian food in Calgary; it can take time for the food to emerge from the kitchen, and the quality is a bit mixed from time to time, but in my books, the friendly service and generous portions more than make up for the inconsistency. Try the combo platters.Popular withBudgetFoodiesVegetarian

Ok, right off the bat I wasn't impressed by the fact that it's a "order at the counter" type of joint, it really takes out of the dining experience. On a -30C night, having to park really far down the street because they do not have their own lot really irked me. However, once the food came, I knew it ...Popular withTrendstersBudgetLocal

Redheads is also my kind of place as this place specializes in Montreal-style bagels and smoked meat, Winnipeg cream cheeses and ...

A work colleague introduced me to the Brûlée Bakery on a nicely warm and sunny Saturday morning. We were walking down Electric Avenue, when she made a hard turn at an unmarked door and then hard left to downstairs. Upstairs was a cooking store and school, with the Metrovino Wine Shop farther through. She knows of this place as she ...
