    Divino Bistro and Wine Bar

    4 reviews

Divino Wine & Cheese Bistro, part of Canadian Rocky Mountain Resorts (CRMR) family of companies, originally opened in 1984 as a quaint 30 seat restaurant, located in downtown Calgary' Grain Exchange building. Divino has since relocated to the historic Calgary Wine and Spirits building on Stephen Avenue. I have wanted to come here every since I stayed at CRMR's Buffalo ...

Best breakfast in Calgary. Boom - I said it. The belly-buster will change your life. The cutlery doesn't match the plates and they pack the punters in like battery hens - but you love it.

    Good Earth Cafe

    2 reviews

Not surprisingly there is a distinctly bohemian feel to The Good Earth. Great selection of teas and salads. All eating preferences are catered for, especially vegiterians.

Sushi by the boat load - obviously. Good food at a good price, average atmosphere but good eats all around.

    Marathon Ethiopian Restaurant

This unassuming restaurant serves my favourite Ethiopian food in Calgary; it can take time for the food to emerge from the kitchen, and the quality is a bit mixed from time to time, but in my books, the friendly service and generous portions more than make up for the inconsistency. Try the combo platters.

    River Cafe

    4 reviews

The River Cafe is an attractive restaurant among a pretty Prince's Island. Walking here within Downtown Calgary is almost half the fun. I dined here recently as part of a Business trip. This is a "Local and Sustainable" food place and it executes this well with very good food attractively presented. The wine list was interesting (albeit with a relatively ...

Joey Tomato's Kitchen - Eau Claire

    3 reviews

2012 UPDATE Our Team had to work one Saturday, but there was still time for a leisurely late Lunch on the Patio at Joey's. It was a warm Indian Summer day and who knows how long it would be until the weather would "Fall Off the Cliff"? Service was friendly and attentive, the Lunch conversation was stimulating, and my Lobster ...

    CHARCUT Roast House

    4 reviews

Our Team Lead took us to Dinner here to celebrate a project milestone and to say Thank You for a job well done. Janet is a bit of a foodie and also really wanted to try CHARCUT, especially on an expense account. CHARCUT Roast House is basically an upscale urban rotisserie, with a lot of chef-driven buzz and Country French ...

    Higher Ground

Higher ground is an awesome hang out spot. It's a local spot where you can curl up to a book or work on your laptop. Things I love about HG: Open late Cozy cabin atmosphere Noise levels are relatively low so you can have conversations with the person across from you Great lattes, even better teas **Free internet** although I ...

    Good Earth Cafes

    3 reviews

This Good Earth Coffee Shop is located at the Eau Claire Market and is one conveniently located Starbucks alternative. There's also a Tim's not far away and an even better Caffè Artigiano at Shell Centre a few blocks up. I like my Coffee fresh and black, of which Good Earth does well. There's also a decent pastry selection and optional ...

    Model Milk

    2 reviews

This could be the only restaurant in the city that didn't turn into a saloon during Stampede. Model Milk is a place that is unfazed, unmoved and unconscious of the nuances of the outside world. A place you duck in from the cold or the rain, and immediately your heart and stomach are warmed. The bar is a small 4-5 ...

    Sky 360 Restaurant & Lounge

Dined here over the weekend, thought the change was great. Posh seating, inimate curved booths facing the view, swanky new the new look. The menu has changed as well, although the prices has not. Still fairly expensive, but food quality was great. We shared appies, and I got to taste everything. Mussels were really good, calamari was chewy and ...
