    Tender Greens

    10 reviews

I have now visited 2/3 locations in San Diego and can say that the food is high quality and cooked perfectly. They provide healthy options, quality meat, greens, soups & desserts. The menu is mostly setup to offer their big salads or big plates, which are paired with a salad or veggies & can be made into a salad, or ...

    Native Foods Restaurant

    7 reviews

Tasty, creative food in a more casual cafe setting than other vegan standbys like Real Food Daily. This Westwood location is not the most lovely (though they are remodeling and expanding!) but the staff is very nice and helpful, and the food is good, healthy and quick.

    Secret Spot

    3 reviews

Whoa, I was definitely impressed by Secret Spot. Actually, I think its every time I receive a huge portion of food from a restaurant, my expectations are exceeded. I ordered a San-O salad, and was not expecting a huge, delicious-looking salad! It even caught someone else's eye, and she ended up getting the same thing. Gosh, i must've made that ...

Entirely vegan Japanese food that is fabulous. Try the Cha-Ya roll- it's a veggie roll that is dipped in tempura batter, fried, and sprinkled with their special sauce. No reservations, cash only, and usually a long wait at dinner.

    The Cheese Board Pizza Collective

How did they make an eggplant, vegetarian pizza taste like sausage? Magic. Crust wasn't extremely greasy. But seriously, that eggplant was magic. Options to buy a slice, half ($10) or whole pizza ($20). Line moved fast, but seating is limited. So we ended up taking our pizza home to enjoy. You can find out what their pizza of the day ...

    Pokez Mexican Restaurant

    8 reviews

Healthy Mexican food, who knew?! They have a lot of vegetarian and vegan dishes in a casual, artsy restaurant. They have good sangria and make fresh juices. Right on the corner of the Main Street into downtown off 163. Fun music, juke boxes & funky decor.

Not only does Shojin specialize in sushi, but they also specialize in vegan! Double win. They use brown rice, which makes their dishes a bit healthier than the standard fare. Using their own creative combinations, they recreate typical sushi rolls in a flavorful and healthy way. The dynamite roll (10.95) has the same spiciness one would expect, but filled with ...

    Native Foods

Great, creative vegan food. Casual atmosphere with an outdoor patio. They've opened several of these throughout the West, but it all started right here in Palm Springs at this little strip mall.

    Tony's Pizza Napoletana

    34 reviews

Arguably the best pizza in San Francisco. Traditional, super thin crust, italian (not NY) style pizza. If you are going to do north beach, this is the place to come. Book ahead - this place gets packed, and for good reason. Try the New Yorker with coal fired 1000 degree oven. The meatballs are also divine.

Wow. Guisados! All the hype about Guisados is right! The tacos here are AMAZING! Try their 6 mini taco sampler. They have plenty of vegetarian options, some of which are even better than their meat-based ones. Oh! And don't forget to try their refreshing horchata while you're there.

    Green Earth Vegan Cuisine

    5 reviews

A simple restaurant in the Old Town Pasadena area. While I prefer pho from Little Saigon, the pho here hit the spot. They sell mostly asian food, like crunchy refreshing spring rolls and orange "chicken", but they also have vegan versions of non-asian dishes like pasta, burgers, and salads. It's a great spot for a casual meal after a day ...

    Urth Caffe

Great healthy place for bfast/brunch/lunch. It's a bit pricey. Their soup is enough to satisfy my craving for salty stuff and the green tea (matcha) latte to give me a sugar boost. Their green tea latte is my favorite! You can tast the subtle bitterness of the match. If you're lucky, yours might have a pic of a teddy bear ...

    Ananda Fuara

    3 reviews

Ananda Fuara doesn't look like anything special from its inconspicuous entrance on Market Street near the Civic Center. But it has some of the best vegetarian food I've ever eaten. I've been coming here for years, and have never been disappointed by their menu. The "neatloaf" is especially tasty, as is the Wild Mushroom benedict if you come for breakfast.

Veggie Grill serves an all vegan menu in a fast casual setting. The employees are friendly and nice and willing to help newcomers understand the menu. Not that it's in any way confusing, there are just so many delicious options! Some of my favorites: All Hail Kale salad- walnuts and a lightly tart dressing make this refreshing and delicious Caesar ...

Organic, vegetarian restaurant in SOMA. No meat here, but for me that means less guilt over eating a large dinner meal! Burgers and mac and cheese were both delicious! Order at the counter, then find a seat. Food is brought to your table. Cute outdoor patio, too!

Oh-my-goodness-gracious-great-balls-of-fire! Someone needs to send the fire department to this place, because it's on fire!! And I mean on FIIIII-YAHHH!!! Okay I came here to kill two birds in one stone: a vegan joint across the street (Pure Luck) and this awesome place. I first found out about Scoops via a mobile picture my friend took on Facebook. It was ...
