    The House

I took my parents here for their birthdays and they really liked it. They mentioned that they liked the presentation of the food and the strong flavors. Our waiter was really nice and since we told him it was our first time, he made a few good recommendations. The menu is limited but there are specials everyday so that helps. ...

    Yamashiro Hollywood

    29 reviews

The food is ok. One of the coolest places to hang out. Big screen TV, coaches everywhere, LA skyline, a bar, valet parking. This is not a restaurant, its my DREAM HOUSE.

    HRD Coffee Shop

    17 reviews

What's not to like about HRD? It's a hole in the wall place that always had a line out the door and down the street. I always get the Crunchy special roll Kim chee fried rice. It has spam, chicken and spicy pork in the fried rice with a fried egg on top. You can't go wrong with the spicy ...

    Anqi by Crustacean

    13 reviews

More of a date place. Just keep thinking it's Asian fusion food and you won't be too critical of the way some of the dishes are prepared.

    Santa Ramen

    15 reviews

Santa Ramen is my go-to spot for authentic Japanese Ramen. It's one the best on the west coast. The noodles are fresh and any broth you select is delicious! I'd been coming to Santa Ramen since they were still at the old location.

    14 reviews

Just try to add more modern San Francisco elements into one restaurant experience. Lip-synching Asian trannie waitresses shimmy up to the stage (or pole) in between the salad and lamb courses to sing along to Tina Turner's Proud Mary. Your out-of-town friends will love it. And, when a restaurant's ... ahem, view is this good, the food usually takes a ...

    99 Chicken

    14 reviews

Great fries chicken, love the salad bar, love the Soju, really dislike their minimum chicken order for large groups! We just want to share sometimes!!! With that said, we still go back here quite often! The chicken is really good! Enjoy!

    Jazz Cat Restaurant

    11 reviews

I love Jazz Cat for their hot pot choices. It's individual-sized hot pot, so you and your friends can try different soup bases. Brilliant! There's also dessert options and nightlife stuff nearby in San Gabriel!

    Tatsu Ramen

    13 reviews

The ramen here is good (although sorry, my favorite on Sawtelle is still Menji). Even though it's completely a novelty thing, I still have fun placing and customizing my order on their iPad.

The decor is nice...modern with a touch of Asian flair. The food is tasty but overpriced. Portions are on the smaller side, service was very attentive and the dishes were certainly creative.

    Yucca de Lac

    10 reviews

Upscale Chinese fusion (think a fancier and organic version of PF Changs) which I found delicious! We had the sea bass and the chicken fried rice -- both were flavorful and well made! Plus they only use extra virgin olive oil and organic ingredients, so it is nice to not worry about what kind of crazy stuff your food is ...

    Tofu Ya

    12 reviews

This is a decent tofu bowl place, though nothing special. The side dishes were very basic and minimal - kimchi, pickles, sprouts, and noodles. They do offer refills on the side dishes though. Service is decent.

    Ramen Yamadaya

    9 reviews

not a bad place at all. parking sucks though. I ordered a spicy ramen and it was powerful enough to keep me sweating. The cheesy ramen seems pretty interesting. Next time i come here I'll definitely take the risk.

Nothing more satisfying than plain hot teriyaki chicken and rice. This is a great meal for when you want something simple and delicious. Also, it's located next to a philly cheesesteak place AND close to Diddy Riese so you can be super glutinous and get your fill of everything.

    So Gong Dong Tofu House

    10 reviews

After having numerous tofu soup at different Korean Tofu houses, they all started to taste pretty similar to me. I don't think my taste buds are capable of telling excellence from good when it comes to spicy tofu soup. Okay there might be a difference in terms of quality of the meat and the tofu. Other than that, I couldn't ...

    Equator Cafe

It looks like they have some sort of special everyday. Great place to start off a Sunday Funday. The place is located in a non-busy street/alley across a pizza shop. Our friend reserved the lounge couch in the corner for our bottomless $10mimosa outing. The mimosas kept on flowing and we could choose three flavors which are apple (don't get ...
