Hands down, best happy hour and dessert! Usually most places would not have happy hour on the weekend but Chaya does! My food buddy and I ordered: - seared day boat sea scallops = scallop cooked to standard and nicely done risotto. - filet mignon rossini = perfect medium meat and tasty sauce. - corn soup = good combination of ...

Great food, but don't expect to walk in and grab a table at dinner time. (Make sure you make a reservation.. They don't have a bar to have a drink while you wait.) It's overlooked for brunch, which is also great food. I've never had to wait (arriving before 1130.)

This is where California cuisine, known for its local and organic ingredients, started. I had known about Chez Panisse for a long time until I finally got a chance to have lunch there a couple of weeks ago. I ate at the upstairs Cafe which is more casual and you can order a la carte. My friend and I shared ...

Although The Prado area is quite nice; it's very pretty. The restaurant is not the highest quality in my humble opinion.

If you're a creeping elitist, your instincts may tell you to steer clear of this pizza restaurant which often has a line out the door. If you snub this spot, you'll only deprive yourself of a damn good pie. There's a reason this place is popular – the pizzas are excellent. And the salads, cocktails, and service is, too. Make ...

The burgers here are sooo good. They also have a great variety of beers for you to choose from. It's just really hard to find seats sometimes. Just don't go during dinner time and you should have a good experience.

The espresso and New Orleans Iced coffee were fantastic. I am a huge espresso fan, the beans I had were well balanced and not super acidic. Definitely worth the stop.

Such delicious ice cream cookies (they're big too)! Even with price increases, they're still so cheap! There's a good variety of cookies and ice cream flavors, but I usually end up getting coffee ice cream with white chocolate macademia cookies.

Try the 'secret breakfast' flavor if you're a fan of whiskey. Yummy, yummy ice cream. A little out-of-the-way, but worth the trip from time to time for sure.

With a number of outlets in the Bay Area, this simple Mexican eatery is exactly what a taqueria should be - cheap and tasty, with huge portions. The grilled chicken torta with fresh avacado is insanely tasty, and a trip to the Mission is almost incomplete without a visit here.

Great to help me reminisce on Cajun food, but nowhere close to real 'Nawlins taste. Beignets were oily and not very light, with too much powdered sugar.

I haven't been to Yank Sing since way back in my SF party days with my posse. We would meet up here on a Sunday afternoon about 2pm, after seeing each other the Saturday night before about 2am closing down the clubs, if not 3:30am after a late night bowl of noodles. That was before Yank Sing and Yank Sing2 ...

Brenda's doesn't take reservations, so try to get there earlier. We got there around 6 and didn't have to wait at all. The crawfish beignet is salty, spicy, and flavorful. It's a good portion, so 1 is enough for 2 people to share. The broiled oysters are also huge with 3 or 4 oysters in each serving. I liked the ...

I liked Zuni's Steamboat oysters more than their famous 1-hour chicken. Seriously, that $2.50 oyster was the highlight of my meal. It reminded me of the delicious, golden, fatty nuggets you find inside crabs. For one reason or another, I was not that impressed with the flavor of the chicken meat. Yes, the meat was moist, juicy, and had some ...
