Not much going on here. Just drive by on the way to seeing other sights in the island. The tourist companies will make it out to be some great destination, but really it's just a lighthouse with nothing around it.
With gorgeous views of Aruba and its coast, California Lighthouse is surrounded by sand dunes and stony land. It's named for the ship the "Californian" which was wrecked nearby soon after the lighthouse was built in 1910. Ironically, the Californian was already famous for ignoring the SOS signals of the Titanic, a fact that superstitious types might connect to its own untimely demise.
