Larger mountain in the area. Activities for all seasons: skiing and tubing in winter, summer waterpark and mountain adventures (zipline, tree canopy adventures, etc)

Camelback is great for family skiing. The school is just great for beginners, and they really know how to work with children. Parents can feel secure leaving their kids and getting a few runs in during the lesson. My kids learned there and ended up being competitive skiiers.

Fun place for a day ski or snowboard trip. Large enough, but the runs get a bit crowded and are a little narrow.

Decent slopes and facilities, but way too crowded with way too many novice and inconsiderate skiiers and snowboarders. Conditions can be icy too, which adds to the frustration. Otherwise, it's a beautiful mountains and some of the lesser used trails can be amazing. If you are a confident skiier, avoid the green trails altogether as they are treacherous with ice and falling beginners. The Nile Mile (a mile long blue trail) is my personal favorite. Not too many people, not difficult at all, and some of the best snow on the mountain.

Fifteen lifts access 34 trails and a cadre of instructors are at the ready, for children and adult instruction.
