This is a large upscale hotel in the financial center of the city. The building itself is fairly nondescript but the lobby is huge. The rooms are a little tired but the staff is friendly and helpful.

This is a great museum in Chapultepec park. Impressive building with a neat fountain. It has the best collection of sculptures, jewels and handcrafts from ancient Mexican cultures, and took us several hours to see everything.

The Museum of Modern Art usually charges a 25 peso entrance fee, which is hardly breaking the bank, but if you are really counting your pennies (or pesitos) then you should make your way to this gallery on a Sunday when there is absolutely no charge for entrance. The gallery has both temporary and permanent exhibitions, showcasing important works of ...

This is a nice diversion almost in the middle of the city. You will see lots of Mexicans holding parties here especially on the weekends. Just walking around in the greenery watching the people is a great way to relax after heavy duty sight seeing.

Diego Rivera is without a doubt the most famous muralist in Mexican history and the Palaciao de Bellas Artes (Palace of Fine Arts) is the most famous and celebrated cultural centre in the Mexican capital. This building is nothing short of stunning from the outside, but when you move to the interior of the building, you will also be able ...

Mexico's Times Square bristles with excitement, history and tradition just like the one in New York. A major difference, however, is the time this has been the center of the city compared to NY. In the Big Apple, it's a couple of hundred years tops, In D.F., we're talking about millennia. Roaming mariachis, street performers and pretty much all of ...

I am sure plenty of other things happen at Arena Mexico. However, we went for the luchador show. There is nothing not to like about a luchador show. It is cheap, it is insanely fun to watch, and the beers are large. We ended up going through our hostel and therefore had a guide who hung out with us at ...

Come here to gaze upon Diego Rivera's incredible murals. These intricate massive paintings show the history of Mexico (both the good and the bad). A highlight of Mexico City that also happens to be free. Getting a guide is recommended as there is so much going on in the murals context helps put it into perspective.

Party central, literally. A large plaza in the historical center of Mexico City is THE place to find a mariachi band. The square is surrounded by bars and nightclubs some rougher then others, -and now a brand new Tequila Museum for a bit of cultural fare. A fun place but be warned that it does get a bit crazy at ...
