Okay, okay. I'll admit it: I'm a yurt fanatic. My goal one day is to stay at every yurt in the continental US. Sadly, I didn't get to sleep in a yurt here, but I did get to visit and tour around. Their yurts are seriously fancy, with in-yurt fireplaces, kitchens and bathrooms (heating and a/c, as well, of course).
Oh, and were you looking for a view of the Blue Ridge Mountains, too? Just have a seat on your deck (barbecuing on your personal yurt-grill if you'd like) and soak it all in. There are RVers and campers here, too, but it seemed pretty quiet when I was there. Plus, it's 10 minutes from downtown Asheville. (I actually clocked it at nine minutes; it's seriously close).Recommended for

RV, tent, or yurt? Take your pick. This campground offers space for all of it. There are gorgeous views everywhere and plenty of scenic spots for grilling out. You can defintely get your nature fix and still have easy access to downtown Asheville - it's just a quick car trip away. My compact car did struggle over the giant dirt speed bumps and came away a bit worse for the wear, so non-SUV drivers should beware and use more caution than I initially did...
