Oh Canada. The country richest in its natural resources, boasts over 1 million lakes and over 50% covered in forests, Canada is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful country in the world. With four distinct seasons, the country changes its colors and characters as the seasons comes and go. The home of the natural wonders - Canadian Rockies, Niagara Falls, and the gorgeous cities - Toronto, Vancouver, and Montreal. The heavy influence of European culture still lingers and is well preserved in some parts of the country. Canada also has one of the most diverse group of people and perhaps the friendliest you'll find anywhere.

Since this is my home country, I am a little biased, however it is a beautiful country. So much diversity from mountains and lakes, to rolling countryside and modern urban cities. And we are super friendly!

Canada to me is an extension of the United States. No offense to anyone. Same language and a good amount of ethnic diversity (in Vancouver), I felt very comfortable and at times I completely forgot I was in another country. It's a nice place to visit.

We pretty much stayed in the touristy area near Niagara Falls. We still had a great time though. Lots to see and do.

It is one of my fondest memories as a kid growing up. There's this mall attached to a hotel which at the time boasted being the largest in the world. There was an amusement park and water park. And it didnt hurt that I had a lot of family in Canada too... 'A'.

My favorite country in the whole world. A very good country which has the kindest people and the most varied nature and culture. It's like being in the USA but much better because you don't have that tourist pressure there is in the US because this, fortunately, isn't such a tourist country.

A little biased... I was born and raised here. There's just so much natural beauty to explore, and the people are generally nice, eh ;)

Description

How many 'Best country for ...' lists can one nation find themselves on? Canada breaks the ranks of countless top 10 lists -- livability, peacefulness, cleanliness, education. Although it's well appreciated, quality of life isn't what brings most travelers to the Great White North. Canada is the second largest nation in the world, far too vast to take in all at once. Urban hotspots compete with nature's bounty to see which can reel in the most admirers. Favorite destinations include the majestic Rocky Mountains around Banff and Lake Louise, posh ski resorts like Whistler and Blackcomb, the sophisticated Francophone cities of Montreal or Quebec City, or hipness personified in Vancouver or Toronto. Venture further afield to experience Canada's immense diversity. Stay at an Inuit lodge in Nunavut or dog-mush through the Yukon to view the aurora borealis. Sip high tea in Victoria on Vancouver Island or tap your toes at a Gaelic Céilidh on Nova Scotia's Cape Breton Island. Or, enjoy history and activity in one: sail tall ships through the Maritime Provinces or join in the rodeo at the 90-year-old Calgary Stampede. ... read more
